Title: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Jim Gray on October 02, 2011, 12:48:33 pm Does anyone even care enough to participate in a game blog? I usually don't blog during the game, but I like looking through the blog afterwards.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 12:49:51 pm The game doesn't start until 4 right? I don't really care about watching this team play today, but I will probably get a stream off the internet.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: StL FinFan on October 02, 2011, 01:05:50 pm I'll blog with you until the trolls start coming on here and screaming that everyone should either be cut or fired.

I will be around probably and chime in here or there Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: jtex316 on October 02, 2011, 03:02:37 pm Cut everyone!! Fire everyone!!
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 03:14:35 pm I'll be here like usual but I don't expect I'll watch the entire thing, depending on how the game goes.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: StL FinFan on October 02, 2011, 04:13:08 pm Cut everyone!! Fire everyone!! What exactly are you saying? ;) Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 04:21:09 pm I just got back from a date with my girlfriend (yep, that's right, it finally happened for me!!!!). I'm waiting to start my shift at work, so I'll be here blogging.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: StL FinFan on October 02, 2011, 04:23:31 pm Um..does anyone know who that pass was intended for?
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 04:24:48 pm Man, I don't know what Henne was seeing. Just a bad throw. Ugh.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 04:24:56 pm Maybe I should have stayed with her today. Not the way to start the game.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:27:00 pm Let's hope the D steps up again. Allen had a really sweet tackle first time around. BOOM!
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Dave Gray on October 02, 2011, 04:27:45 pm I wonder who he was throwing to. ....took a shot in the ribs, too.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:28:14 pm Good to have Dansby back ;)
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Jim Gray on October 02, 2011, 04:29:03 pm It was intended for Hartline........terrible overthrow. Announcers just said - "17 straight games with a turnover for Henne. It would be nice if he didn't have someone in his face on every play. Come on offensive line.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 04:29:13 pm The D stepped up again, come on o-line, protect Henne.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: StL FinFan on October 02, 2011, 04:31:45 pm Maybe they could block better if Andrew Luck were the QB.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Jim Gray on October 02, 2011, 04:32:50 pm Did you see Sparano yelling at Smith for his lackluster attempt to tackle the Charger wide out? Smith looks like he doesn't want to be on the field.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:32:55 pm Announcers just said - "17 straight games with a turnover for Henne. It would be nice if he didn't have someone in his face on every play. Come on offensive line. Two of those this season were hail mary passes to end the game. Would announcers rather have a quarterback just tuck the ball or throw it away? They need to get their noses out of the stat books and provide some context. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 04:34:02 pm Henne sucks asshole. nothing new learned there.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Jim Gray on October 02, 2011, 04:35:11 pm Some of you are about to get your wish - Henne is hurt.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: EKnight on October 02, 2011, 04:35:50 pm Going to locker room. Moore is in. -EK
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 04:35:58 pm Hmm. I wonder how bad this is for Henne. Lex Hilliard not knowing it was a draw? Matt Moore is bow the QB if Henne isn't back, right?
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Dave Gray on October 02, 2011, 04:36:43 pm MikeO is popping bottles right now!
Nice first pass. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:37:21 pm "Interesting" first play by Moore ;)
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 04:37:35 pm Charles Clay? Who is that?
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:38:51 pm I wish we wouldn't keep sending Bush up the middle. I get that Thomas is hurt and I don't mind using Bush that way on a RARE occasion to surprise the other team, but this just doesn't make sense.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 04:39:11 pm matt moore 10x better than henne.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:39:16 pm Charles Clay? Who is that? Isn't that the FB... who was injured to start the season? Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: EKnight on October 02, 2011, 04:39:23 pm Nice. First he misses the handoff that got Henne hurt, then he nearly coughs it up. Redemption on the TD. -EK
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolfan13 on October 02, 2011, 04:40:00 pm probably not going to be the worst of things really. if he stinks it up, we become the front runners to land luck in the draft
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:40:16 pm matt moore 10x better than henne. Yeah, 'cause Moore really threw a sweet pass in the red zone... oh wait, they RAN the ball in. At least write SOMETHING in your posts and not just fucking complaints about Henne. It's annoying beyond belief. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 04:40:28 pm Touchdown!!!!
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 04:40:33 pm Finally. A red zone conversion and by a RB, the first one. Very interesting.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 04:40:40 pm Nice. First he misses the handoff that got Henne hurt, then he nearly coughs it up. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Jim Gray on October 02, 2011, 04:41:09 pm Why does the protection look so much better with Moore than it does with Henne?
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 04:41:38 pm If Moore keeps playing well stay with him.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:41:43 pm In the meantime, Richard Seymor is trying to give the Patriots the win. The Raiders had been dominating early, but two insane personal fouls by Seymor set up the go-ahead score.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 04:41:55 pm Yeah, 'cause Moore really threw a sweet pass in the red zone... oh wait, they RAN the ball in. At least write SOMETHING in your posts and not just fucking complaints about Henne. It's annoying beyond belief. moore was 1 for 1, for 8 yards in the redzone. Henne has passed 21 times in the redzone and has only has 47 yards. shut your mouth. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: StL FinFan on October 02, 2011, 04:42:19 pm Ugh. Reversed call.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 04:42:25 pm Darn it. The half yard line. They better get this.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:42:36 pm If Moore keeps playing well stay with him. I don't care who left the game... if the quarterback in is hot, stay with him. At least until halftime. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: EKnight on October 02, 2011, 04:43:01 pm Second time is a charm? Maybe not....rewiewed AGAIN. -EK

Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 04:43:49 pm Unbelievable. How do you not get a foot? Just terrible.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Jim Gray on October 02, 2011, 04:44:39 pm It's almost worth having Henne out so that I don't have to hear tepop and mikeO's incessant whining. Honestly tepop, you are ruining this thead for many of us. Please give it a rest.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 04:45:43 pm It's almost worth having Henne out so that I don't have to hear tepop and mikeO's incessant whining. Honestly tepop, you are ruining this thead for many of us. Please give it a rest. Its worth having henne out because the offense scores touchdowns and can win games. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 04:45:50 pm Wow. It stands. I didn't think he got it.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: StL FinFan on October 02, 2011, 04:46:09 pm On the replay it looked like he didn't score but ok.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 04:47:29 pm Its worth having henne out because the offense scores touchdowns and can win games. Granted, we have heard a ton of complaints, but if Moore can lead many more scoring drives, I'd say leave it alone and think that they might have been right for a long time. But, thats only if Moore produces. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:47:36 pm I'll say again, though, OFFENSE isn't our problem. We need our D to keep up the pressure and not cave like they've done every game so far. Going by the numbers, we have the WORST D in the league. Hard to win games that way...
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 04:48:33 pm I'll say again, though, OFFENSE isn't our problem. We need our D to keep up the pressure and not cave like they've done every game so far. Going by the numbers, we have the WORST D in the league. Hard to win games that way... Scoring 16 points against the browns last week wasn't a problem? The titans put up 31 on them. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 04:49:16 pm I'll say again, though, OFFENSE isn't our problem. We need our D to keep up the pressure and not cave like they've done every game so far. Going by the numbers, we have the WORST D in the league. Hard to win games that way... Both sides of the ball have been horrible. Let's see how this game plays out. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: StL FinFan on October 02, 2011, 04:49:41 pm Here's a novel idea: Support your team no matter who is on the field. It's the persistently negative people that make me not want to post here any more.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:50:26 pm Both sides of the ball have been horrible. Let's see how this game plays out. The offense has been about league average. The defense has been league worst. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 04:51:15 pm I swear to God, this secondary absolutely sucks. Stop biting you idiot safeties!
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:51:31 pm 3 plays, 80 yards.
Damnit... I really wish our D would step up. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Dave Gray on October 02, 2011, 04:52:35 pm Our secondary is friggin' pathetic.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 04:53:22 pm nolan carroll shouldn't be on the field. He is terrible even for a 5th round pick. benny sapp would probably help this team. too bad ireland is an idiot and cut him after 1 game. Just like Jason allen. Saw him with an int on big rape today to end the game.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 04:53:55 pm That wasn't the way to answer for the defense. Let's hope this isn't an indication of things to come.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:53:59 pm Was that Carroll on Vincent Jackson? With no help over the top? Didn't we see that already this season?
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 04:55:00 pm Has Clyde gates had a good return this year. it seems like they start around the 10 yard line every f'ing time.

Which is why letting Ginn go was a mistake Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 04:56:19 pm ^^^^ Which is why letting Ginn go was a mistake They got a 5th round pick, which turned into the stud named nolan caroll. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 04:56:25 pm Man, we've been running the ball a lot since Moore got in. That's gotta change...

Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 04:57:46 pm Man, we've been running the ball a lot since Moore got in. That's gotta change... Set up the play action? Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: JVides on October 02, 2011, 04:58:21 pm Was that Carroll on Vincent Jackson? With no help over the top? Didn't we see that already this season? It was Smith on Jackson. He cut in to take away the slant, but so did Bell. Jackson took off and both guys were out of position. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 05:00:13 pm There was a play action, but no one bought it. Bad throw by Moore. At least it wasn't picked.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 05:01:54 pm It was Smith on Jackson. He cut in to take away the slant, but so did Bell. Jackson took off and both guys were out of position. That's PROBABLY on Smith then. Bell (SS) usually doesn't have deep responsibilities. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 05:03:02 pm what is the status on henne.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 05:04:48 pm what is the status on henne. "questionable" (shoulder) Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: StL FinFan on October 02, 2011, 05:05:06 pm Dump off pass on 3rd and 11. They're not even trying. Henne is back on the sidelines but that's all I know.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 05:06:31 pm Notice the Raiders running game with Satele at center. good thing ireland got rid of him too.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 05:06:53 pm Dump off pass on 3rd and 11. They're not even trying. Henne is back on the sidelines but that's all I know. I have no problems with dump offs to Bush. Henne did some light throwing on the sideline, according to reports, but is officially listed as questionable to return. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 05:07:28 pm We need a big play from the passing game.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 05:07:59 pm Notice the Raiders running game with Satele at center. good thing ireland got rid of him too. He was traded after the Dolphins drafted a stud center. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolfan13 on October 02, 2011, 05:08:05 pm ur probably talking about moore taking about 10% of the reps this week in preparation. safe to say the playbook is very limited at this point.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 05:08:09 pm Rivers might throw for 600 yards today.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 05:08:23 pm Okay... who was on Jackson THAT time?
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 05:08:44 pm He was traded after the Dolphins drafted a stud center. Justin smiley? Jake Grove? lol Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 05:09:42 pm Maybe the Chargers have found out all they need to do are play actions or have some WRs cross each other for big gains.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 05:09:51 pm It's not going to matter who is quarterback if our secondary keeps playing like this.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 05:11:24 pm What the heck are you talking about? Lay off Ricky's stash... Our center is Mike Pouncey, drafted in the first round (15th overall) this year. yea, and samson satele was traded after the 2008 season. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 05:12:18 pm It's not going to matter who is quarterback if our secondary keeps playing like this. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 05:12:57 pm yea, and samson satele was traded after the 2008 season. Damn, that was quick quoting ;). Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 05:13:51 pm MikeO is popping bottles right now! Henne brings me Andrew Luck. This injury makes me upset. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: hordman on October 02, 2011, 05:18:13 pm held to a fg. i guess that is good. you are correct. now I'm just like Sparano cheering for FGs!!!!!!!!! Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 05:19:44 pm And Marshall gets in the game with a short reception... I like how our leading receiver is a fullback.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 05:20:38 pm Crap! Pouncey went down.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Jim Gray on October 02, 2011, 05:20:45 pm No pressure on Rivers. Zero. He has all day to throw the ball. Combine this with a questionable secondary and you have a recipe for disaster. What happened between this year and last that has made our pass rush so anemic?
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 05:20:49 pm Down goes Pouncey. WOW! Goes from bad to worse
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 05:21:32 pm No pressure on Rivers. Zero. He has all day to throw the ball. Thank god we didn't extend him after last year. We would be stuck with a huge contract on our hands. Now we can let him walk Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 05:24:22 pm If we go in down just three, that's not the end of the world

Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: tepop84 on October 02, 2011, 05:30:08 pm great field position, then shit the bed.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 05:30:45 pm (Campbell just threw a horrible interception in the red zone... might just be the worst INT I've ever seen... holy crap, no one was even remotely close)
Let's see what we can do with a short field! Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 05:31:45 pm 3rd and 21... out of field goal range. Nice.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 05:31:54 pm Oh Great, now Carpenter's going to have to try another field goal.

Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: EKnight on October 02, 2011, 06:01:47 pm Marshall with a drop...again...announcers point out that he has three drops in the end zone this year. How did he catch 21 balls in one game with Denver??? -EK
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 06:02:25 pm another Marshall drop. God we can't get rid of him soon enough for me. I hope whoever is charge of the Dolphins after this season DOESN'T do that. Marshall may not be playing great football, but we need to bring in better players, not dump the few decent ones we have. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 06:03:30 pm I hope whoever is charge of the Dolphins after this season DOESN'T do that. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 06:07:59 pm We need a stop won't happen with this group Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 06:08:08 pm He hasn't been a good player in 3 years. Gotta stop living in the past. REALITY isn't lying. Your eyes arent lying. Marshall isn't good anymore He's decent, like I said. And we don't have anyone better to replace him with. IMHO, the biggest management mistake has been letting decent players go, while bringing in players of roughly same level. I don't mind bringing in those players, it's that we keep letting the existing starters go instead of creating a competition for the starting position and getting a decent backup in the "loser". If it were a question of salary cap, I could understand, but that hasn't been the case thus far (you mentioned Satele earlier, and Ginn... I would add Marshall to that list if he were let go). Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolfan13 on October 02, 2011, 06:08:16 pm dolphins are slow on defense
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 06:08:47 pm I just can't take this defense anymore. How horrible they have become. It would be nice to see a fumble recovery or INT.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 06:10:45 pm 0-4 here we come
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 06:11:23 pm He's decent, like I said. And we don't have anyone better to replace him with. He isn't decent anymore. That is a myth. He drops too many balls. We don't have anyone currently better. In the offseason you go get someone. Like we will at MANY positions Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: EKnight on October 02, 2011, 06:11:53 pm So....if Henne is out for a couple of weeks....even with a bye next week, we don't go with only one guy- Moore. Who does Miami go after? Garrard? Palmer? -EK
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 06:12:44 pm So....if Henne is out for a couple of weeks....even with a bye next week, we don't go with only one guy- Moore. Who does Miami go after? Garrard? Palmer? -EK My guess is Jake Dellhome. He knows Daboll's offense from Cleveland last year Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 06:12:49 pm 20 yards on a 3rd and 15, 42 yards on a 2nd and 18.
It's the long strikes that are really killing this D. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 06:14:41 pm 20 yards on a 3rd and 15, 42 yards on a 2nd and 18. It's the long strikes that are really killing this D. Because they all bite on the fakes and can't decide who to cover when receivers cross-cross. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: EKnight on October 02, 2011, 06:15:13 pm My guess is Jake Dellhome. He knows Daboll's offense from Cleveland last year Ugh.....isn't one former Panther enough? Delhomme was so bad, Moore replaced him. Signing him now to back up Moore would not be a good idea IMO. -EK Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 06:16:37 pm Ugh.....isn't one former Panther enough? Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 06:18:46 pm Did he lose that in the sun? Damn it. How can he suck so much?
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolfan13 on October 02, 2011, 06:20:07 pm ouch...
that one is on ireland. watching dez bryant for the cowgirls today, and to think we could have him right now instead of marshall. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Jim Gray on October 02, 2011, 06:22:10 pm That's a bad timeout. It's going to give SanDiego the time to look at that Marshall catch. I think he bobbled it and didn't get 2 feet down.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: StL FinFan on October 02, 2011, 06:25:55 pm Pat Devlin is on the practice squad.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 06:26:05 pm That's a bad timeout. It's going to give SanDiego the time to look at that Marshall catch. I think he bobbled it and didn't get 2 feet down. That's what I was thinking too. Guess San Diego didn't think so. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 06:26:30 pm At least it looks like Carpenter has his head on straight again...
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Jim Gray on October 02, 2011, 06:27:04 pm I wish we would at least try to convert a 3rd down by throwing the ball past the first down marker.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 06:27:54 pm Helluva hit by Moore. Does the crew still do "Jacked Up"?
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 06:32:23 pm Consecutive running plays of 20, 13, and 11 yards by the Chargers. Yikes.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 06:37:17 pm Amazingly, the Chargers didn't convert 3rd and 13.... it got too close for comfort, though.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Jim Gray on October 02, 2011, 06:43:38 pm That was a really nice play from Moore to end the quarter. I think that may be the first 3rd down over 10 yards that we have converted this year.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 06:48:56 pm Yay, Dan Carpenter is back to making FGs. Maybe if the D makes a stop, it will make a difference.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: JVides on October 02, 2011, 06:49:12 pm Totally unfair comment coming....
Sparano looks so pumped! What, did we kick a field goal? Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 06:49:41 pm I dunno about the field goal... I think you have to go for it there. Yeah, Carpenter made the kick, but he hasn't exactly been great this year and 51 yards is a long field goal attempt.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolfan13 on October 02, 2011, 06:50:23 pm moore has some fight in him... we're talking about a guy that probably got very very minimal reps in practice for preparation today.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 06:52:17 pm moore has some fight in him... we're talking about a guy that probably got very very minimal reps in practice for preparation today. The flip side of that is that the opposing D hasn't prepared for him at all. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 06:54:51 pm I can't believe Randy McMichael is still a starting TE in this league.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolfan13 on October 02, 2011, 06:56:43 pm i know, poor defense... with all that significant playbook at the disposal of the offense. they are at a significant disadvantage
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 06:57:59 pm alright D... this is it... STEP UP!
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 06:58:44 pm fuck
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 06:59:49 pm This D cannot stop anybody
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 07:00:31 pm Way to lose us another game defense.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Dave Gray on October 02, 2011, 07:00:57 pm Gotta challenge that McMichael catch. We don't have our shit together.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 07:02:26 pm Defense gets worse every week
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 07:05:22 pm If the D doesn't come up with a turnover now, the game is over.
Yeah, the O didn't play great and 16 points sucks... but the D will have lost the game for us... Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Cathal on October 02, 2011, 07:10:38 pm Ok, time to go do something else. Glad to see how much better we got this week.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 07:11:05 pm that was ugly. I wonder if we fire Sparano tonight or tomorrow. If we don't then he will be here till Thanksgiving at least
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Dave Gray on October 02, 2011, 07:14:34 pm Same crappy story. Bad defense, bad offense, can't tackle.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 07:16:02 pm take away that last INT, I think Moore was better than Henne overall. Converted in the red zone on his one trip and the offense wasn't awful. If we had Thomas at RB it might have been a fun group to watch for an entire game.
Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: fyo on October 02, 2011, 07:16:16 pm that was ugly. I wonder if we fire Sparano tonight or tomorrow. So I want Sparano all year with Henne as QB!! But I think he will get fired after Thanksgiving game. But I wouldn't blame Ross if he fired him in the next 24 hours. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: dolphins4life on October 02, 2011, 07:17:58 pm Well are we getting the first pick?
Well, I guess we should have rooted for a lockout this year. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 07:18:06 pm He converted in the red zone thanks to the running game. whatever, he lead the team and it converted. Thats all that matters. With Henne we don't. It's a RESULTS oriented league. Moore got the result! Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 07:18:25 pm Well are we getting the first pick? Well, I guess we should have rooted for a lockout this year. Don't count out Painter and Indy. Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: Jim Gray on October 02, 2011, 07:22:23 pm This was a disappointing effort. San Diego is a better team, so I wasn't expecting a win, but I don't feel like Miami put up much of a fight. The defense was especially poor. After only 4 games, is it possible this team has already given up?

Moore is exactly what Henne is. A young QB with some upside but most likely destined to be a JAG (Just Another Guy) Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: EKnight on October 02, 2011, 07:30:37 pm Don't count out Painter and Indy. Moore didn't get any results. He has the same number of wins that Henne has this year. He also had the same number of TD's and INT's that Henne had today. I get that the Henne-haters will never give up, but Moore didn't win today. Use the same criteria that you use to judge Henne please. -EK Title: Re: Live Blog - Dolphins at Chargers Post by: MikeO on October 02, 2011, 07:32:21 pm Moore didn't get any results.
