Does anyone even care enough to participate in a game blog?  I usually don't blog during the game, but I like looking through the blog afterwards. 

The game doesn't start until 4 right?  I don't really care about watching this team play today, but I will probably get a stream off the internet.

I'll blog with you until the trolls start coming on here and screaming that everyone should either be cut or fired.

I just got back from a date with my girlfriend (yep, that's right, it finally happened for me!!!!).   I'm waiting to start my shift at work, so I'll be here blogging.

It was intended for Hartline........terrible overthrow.  Announcers just said - "17 straight games with a turnover for Henne.  It would be nice if he didn't have someone in his face on every play.  Come on offensive line.  

The D stepped up again, come on o-line, protect Henne.

Maybe they could block better if Andrew Luck were the QB.

Did you see Sparano yelling at Smith for his lackluster attempt to tackle the Charger wide out?  Smith looks like he doesn't want to be on the field.

Two of those this season were hail mary passes to end the game. Would announcers rather have a quarterback just tuck the ball or throw it away? They need to get their noses out of the stat books and provide some context.

Why does the protection look so much better with Moore than it does with Henne?

moore was 1 for 1, for 8 yards in the redzone.  Henne has passed 21 times in the redzone and has only has 47 yards.  shut your mouth.

It's almost worth having Henne out so that I don't have to hear tepop and mikeO's incessant whining.  Honestly tepop, you are ruining this thead for many of us.  Please give it a rest.

Its worth having henne out because the offense scores touchdowns and can win games.

On the replay it looked like he didn't score but ok.

Granted, we have heard a ton of complaints, but if Moore can lead many more scoring drives, I'd say leave it alone and think that they might have been right for a long time. But, thats only if Moore produces.

I'll say again, though, OFFENSE isn't our problem. We need our D to keep up the pressure and not cave like they've done every game so far. Going by the numbers, we have the WORST D in the league. Hard to win games that way...

Scoring 16 points against the browns last week wasn't a problem?  The titans put up 31 on them.

Both sides of the ball have been horrible. Let's see how this game plays out.

Here's a novel idea:  Support your team no matter who is on the field.  It's the persistently negative people that make me not want to post here any more.

nolan carroll shouldn't be on the field.  He is terrible even for a 5th round pick.  benny sapp would probably help this team.  too bad ireland is an idiot and cut him after 1 game.  Just like Jason allen.  Saw him with an int on big rape today to end the game.

That wasn't the way to answer for the defense.  Let's hope this isn't an indication of things to come.

It was Smith on Jackson.  He cut in to take away the slant, but so did Bell.  Jackson took off and both guys were out of position.

I hope whoever is charge of the Dolphins after this season DOESN'T do that. Marshall may not be playing great football, but we need to bring in better players, not dump the few decent ones we have.

He's decent, like I said. And we don't have anyone better to replace him with. IMHO, the biggest management mistake has been letting decent players go, while bringing in players of roughly same level. I don't mind bringing in those players, it's that we keep letting the existing starters go instead of creating a competition for the starting position and getting a decent backup in the "loser". If it were a question of salary cap, I could understand, but that hasn't been the case thus far (you mentioned Satele earlier, and Ginn... I would add Marshall to that list if he were let go).

I just can't take this defense anymore. How horrible they have become.  It would be nice to see a fumble recovery or INT.

That's a bad timeout.  It's going to give SanDiego the time to look at that Marshall catch.  I think he bobbled it and didn't get 2 feet down.

Consecutive running plays of 20, 13, and 11 yards by the Chargers. Yikes.

Amazingly, the Chargers didn't convert 3rd and 13.... it got too close for comfort, though.

That was a really nice play from Moore to end the quarter.  I think that may be the first 3rd down over 10 yards that we have converted this year. 

Yay, Dan Carpenter is back to making FGs. Maybe if the D makes a stop, it will make a difference.

I dunno about the field goal... I think you have to go for it there. Yeah, Carpenter made the kick, but he hasn't exactly been great this year and 51 yards is a long field goal attempt.

moore has some fight in him... we're talking about a guy that probably got very very minimal reps in practice for preparation today.

The flip side of that is that the opposing D hasn't prepared for him at all.

I can't believe Randy McMichael is still a starting TE in this league.

take away that last INT, I think Moore was better than Henne overall. Converted in the red zone on his one trip and the offense wasn't awful. If we had Thomas at RB it might have been a fun group to watch for an entire game.

Don't count out Painter and Indy.

This was a disappointing effort.  San Diego is a better team, so I wasn't expecting a win, but I don't feel like Miami put up much of a fight.   The defense was especially poor.  After only 4 games, is it possible this team has already given up?  

They gave up in January when our owner went chasing another coach. They knew they were being set up to fail by the front office

The result is Miami scored 16, which exactly what Henne produced last week.  Moore is exactly what Henne is.  A young QB with some upside but most likely destined to be a JAG (Just Another Guy)

Moore didn't get any results. He has the same number of wins that Henne has this year. He also had the same number of TD's and INT's that Henne had today. I get that the Henne-haters will never give up, but Moore didn't win today. Use the same criteria that you use to judge Henne please. -EK

moore also hasn't been practicing with the 1st team and also only has played 3 quarters this year. Not 13 like Henne  ::)
