Title: Sparano lands #2 Post by: Phishfan on November 11, 2011, 09:09:36 am Tony Sparano was voted in at #2 for the coach NFL players least want to play for.

I won't jump on Tony too much, but I think I would be annoyed by him if I played for him. He does do a good job of protecting his players from the media, which is a positive, but his locker room speeches and sideline demeanor is simply annoying. I wouldn't want to play for Tony, but the other two absolutely. Is Coughlin a jerk, or are the players too spoiled and pampered?

If it's a 9am team meeting, and you show up 10 min early, you are considered late and fined or punished in some way. Because it is considered normal and considerate to be 10 min early to any meeting. You should have shown up 15-20 min early. And he would also flip out on players for sitting on their helmets during downtime in practice. Or not having their practice gear on just perfect. Because during games you are expected to wear your uniform perfect or else its a fine by the league, so you better practice that way as well. The man is nuts. I think in his later years he has cooled down some, they said the year before they won the super bowl he had changed and was more open and "nice" to players. But he still has his little things that drive players nuts.
