Title: Inexpensive things everyone should own and use. Post by: Dave Gray on February 22, 2012, 03:27:14 pm I got this idea from a post I saw on Reddit. What are things that people might not know about/use, but that they should discover/own.
The one example on Reddit was a tongue scraper. I got one as part of a pack-in with a toothbrush, and I agree -- it's great. It significantly improves your breath and gives you an overall cleaner mouth. You can brush your teeth (and tongue) and then still scrape a bunch of nasty, yellow gunk off your tongue that's filled with who knows what and bacteria. Other good ones I saw or would like to add: - Lint roller - Q-tips (I didn't use them regularly until I met my wife, who always had them on hand) - Eye Wash (I bought one for .99 at a Pharmacy and used it 10-20 times in the next 5 years. You wouldn't think you'd need it, but when you get a grain of sand in your eye, it's awesome to have available.) Title: Re: Inexpensive things everyone should own and use. Post by: bsfins on February 22, 2012, 05:42:12 pm Wet wipes - I have a lemon pack I picked up for like a $1 or $2 for generics, and I keep them in the truck.I find them incredibly handy in a pinch.
Craft Pipe Cleaners- From cleaning tea stains out of the crevices of my tea jugs,to getting something that I've dropped down the bathroom sink drain,to using it like a garbage /Zip tie in a pinch. Narrow,bendable,shape-able I find new uses for them all the time. The $1 store has bags of like 100 for $1 Title: Re: Inexpensive things everyone should own and use. As a girl - bobby pins. Love them. Title: Re: Inexpensive things everyone should own and use. Post by: Sunstroke on February 22, 2012, 06:30:55 pm Cheap fasteners:

Great for when you're changing your oil and spill some on the driveway...pour some litter over the oil spot, and poof! It absorbs the oil.

I clean my ears with qtips every other day. She has another method for cleaning her ears. I never asked her what that was because the feel of qtips cleaning the ears is almost orgasmic. lol

Mine too. I actually had an incident where I couldn't hear. I went to the doctor and he told me to NEVER stick anything like that in my ear. Title: Re: Inexpensive things everyone should own and use.
