Title: Sam Bradford? Post by: Fins4ever on February 24, 2012, 10:26:49 am There is growing speculation the Rams could take RG3 and look to trade Bradford. They would save 26 mil.
Sam started out like a pro bowler but fell on hard times last year with injuries. Not sure what it was. Should we kick the tires? We should get him at a much more reasonable price than the Rams did. Title: Re: Sam Bradford? Post by: Dave Gray on February 24, 2012, 10:28:50 am Ugh....I don't even know anymore. I have lost the will to speculate on all of these QBs. I'm kinda disenfranchised. It's like the Fins have the same problem every offseason.
Title: Re: Sam Bradford? Post by: Doc-phin on February 24, 2012, 10:38:43 am Sam Bradford took a lot of hits last year and handled it fairly well, so I am not ultra worried about injuries with better protection.
I don't think we would go wrong with Bradford, I just don't know how right it would be. We have a better O-line and receivers than the Rams, so I imagine he would do well with us. But would it be enough? I am a little worried about his lack of leadership intangibles. I realize that Eli is a good example of how those intangibles may not matter, but most of the great QB's know how to light a fire under some butts. The good news is that we have several very reasonable options to get a good QB this year. The more options we have, the less likely we are to miss out. Even if we went with Moore for a year and groomed a replacement, I would be fairly satisfied. Title: Re: Sam Bradford? Post by: Spider-Dan on February 24, 2012, 12:30:38 pm Who is going to take Sam Bradford's contract?
In any case, trading away a known commodity (Rookie of the Year less than two years ago) for someone who might as well be the next Vince Young is dumb. Title: Re: Sam Bradford? Post by: MikeO on February 24, 2012, 04:59:12 pm If the Rams do it they are stupid. For Luck, OK. For RGIII, nope!
Plus Bradford was rookie of the year 2 years ago and had them on the brink of the playoffs. They had a rough year last year no doubt but I wouldn't kick the kid to the curb just yet. Give him some help on offense. He literally has none right now Title: Re: Sam Bradford? Post by: Fins4ever on February 25, 2012, 10:33:37 am The question becomes moot. I don't have the link, but Fisher said trading Sam was not an option.
