Title: Vernon Carey
Post by: MikeO on March 10, 2012, 08:49:21 am
Vernon Carey sold his 3.5 million house to some fake pro wrestler guy. He is prepared to leave. Armando said Vernon is hoping for a 1 year deal from the Fins but doesn't expect to get one at this point in time. Which is why he sold his house.

His best days are behind him.  He's nothing more than a serviceable backup at this point.

And I heard  two beat reporters say he pouted like a baby all season last year about having to move to RG as he wanted to stay at RT. He wasn't a "team player" behind the scenes.

Who knows if that is true or not but that is what 2 beat reporters said.

Moving him to guard was dumb.  He's been a tackle all his life.  Here's to hoping John Jerry can step up and fill one spot on the right side.

Between Jerry and Murtha I think the right side is better by default. If they draft someone in the early rounds or sign a free agent I think it has the possibility to be remarkably better.

That fake pro wrestler guy is Dwayne Johnson. How could you not know who he is? He's been in about twenty movies, and been the lead role in most of them. Anyway, apparently Vanilla Ice is doing the renovations on the mansion for his reality TV show. -EK

The Rock bought Vernon Carey's house? And Vanilla Ice is remodeling it?  Is this some sick reality show?

ha ha ha......Vanilla Ice there is a name from the past! I am so proud to say I know nothing about a Vanilla Ice reality show or fake wrestling. lol And leave it to a fake wrestler to actually have Vanilla Ice remodel his house! That's got "class" written all over it!

The booger eating, mouth open droller's who live in their parents basements and watch grown men on steroids, in underwear, covered in baby oil pretending to punch each other, using fake blood, phony folding chairs, and rolling around on top of each other like  gay porn ....uh yeah, glad to say I am not on top of that scene!

Happy that Vernon got top dollar for his house in this economy though. It will be interested to see if Vernon is forced to retire because nobody signs him or if he can find a place to play in 2012.

I think Carey will find a job.  He did his job at RG and really, could he have possibly fared worse than Colombo had he stayed at RT?  I can see why he would pout.  Not to over stress it, but Colombo might have been the worst RT in the league last year, and he was the reason Carey (who was a solid RT before knee problems) got moved to RG.  If I was removed from my spot, given a pay cut, and replaced by a guy inferior to me, I'd be annoyed too.

Hope the ex-'Cane finds work out there.

I seem to remember Carey being adamant that he stay at one position after he was drafted in 2004.  He wanted to be at RT and stay there.

I'm not surprised he was pouting about the change.

The Dolphins did do him over bad last year too in a cold hearted way. Told him take a pay cut or your cut. They needed his cap space to bring in other guys. Then when he took the pay cut they didn't bring in anyone else.
