Title: Henne to Jax Post by: MikeO on March 14, 2012, 08:38:16 pm Henne signed with Jax
Title: Re: Henne to Jax Post by: fyo on March 14, 2012, 08:46:04 pm What a perfect spot for him. He's backing up a rookie who could get benched at any time (completing 50% of ones passes and throwing just 12 touchdowns to 11 interceptions will do that, especially combined with 14 fumbles).
Title: Re: Henne to Jax Post by: miamid45 on March 14, 2012, 09:26:17 pm Henne will start there more than likely...he's probably getting 10 million for 2 seasons...what will Flynn require?

Those sound like Henne's numbers. Title: Re: Henne to Jax Post by: Landshark on March 14, 2012, 10:49:30 pm If he thought he was flustered behind Miami's offensive line, wait till he lines up behind Jacksonville's. Last time I saw Blaine Gabbert, he was running for his life.
Title: Re: Henne to Jax Post by: DZA on March 14, 2012, 10:58:38 pm good luck Henne. Maybe when he faces Miami he will put up Godly numbers LOL
Title: Re: Henne to Jax Post by: MikeO on March 15, 2012, 07:06:25 am Jax didn't wait for Tebow either. If Manning goes to Denver, the team that wanted Tebow didn't wait around
Title: Re: Henne to Jax Post by: EKnight on March 15, 2012, 11:49:20 am Yeah, that offensive line that led to the leading rusher in the league and gave up fewer sacks (44) than Miami's (52) is going to give him real problems. Plus, they just signed Laurent Robinson. He's in a better situation there than he was in Miami. -EK

Title: Re: Henne to Jax Post by: CF DolFan on March 16, 2012, 03:53:44 pm I've actually found myself thinking I will watch them this year. I usually have a hard time doing this since they pushed the Dolphins off of tv here in Orlando. Oddly for the first time I actually like some of the things they are doing in Jax including Henne.
Title: Re: Henne to Jax Post by: Phishfan on March 16, 2012, 04:00:11 pm ^^^ I like where their owner said the only people he considers fans are season ticket holders. Way to build your fan base there buddy.

Way to build your fan base there buddy. Ouch ... I didn't see that. Open mouth insert foot huh? Edited to add I found this .... http://jacksonville.com/opinion/blog/400617/gene-frenette/2012-01-13/gene-frenette-wrath-over-khans-joke-about-season-ticket Quote Sometimes, things that get reported about what a public figure says are done so without any context. That can significantly alter the perception of how it is received, which is exactly what happened to Jaguars owner Shahid Khan in the aftermath of coach Mike Mularkey's introductory news conference. Khan, in both an attempt at humor and to be complimentary of season-ticket holders, did say: "For me, a fan is somebody who's a season-ticket holder for the Jaguars." Many took it as a slap against fans who don't own season tickets, which is a ridiculous notion since Khan obviously wants to market his product to folks that are on the fence or ambivalent about spending money on tickets. The comment did draw some laughter, but more importantly, it was said in response to a question about whether he thought Mularkey's hire would create a splash with fans. It's not as if Khan made the remark in a prepared statement. He just worded an answer awkwardly, and it's understandable that some fans took it the wrong way. |
