How I missed that announcement is beyond me.  Not sure if any fans on here knew, so I figured I would just post it here.

Seeing as there is some interest here, would any of you be interested in playing with a group of friends that I know? We all played a game called Enemy Territory several years back and it was a blast and we ended up actually creating a guild with a website, forums, a game server etc. We called ourselves the BlackSheep Squadron and that is actually where I came up with my username Pappy if you're familiar with the real life Blacksheep Squadron. I've been trying to get us to play together again and I think I'll have maybe 5 or 6 people that will be playing D3 at release. Anyone interested in joining us?

Most of these people are software developers or the like and enjoy gaming as a stress release from our everyday lives. No kids in their parents basement eating ramaan noodles and playing 24x7, not that theres anything wrong with that if that describes you. :)

I'm definately down, so count me in.

Also, I like how you can buy a 12 month subscription to World of Warcraft and get the game for free.  That might be just enough enticement for me to actually play WoW.

Does anyone on here still play that game?

I'm on, and a certain person that might not want to be outted is on as well.

Yep, still playing WoW from time to time. Unfortunately I don't think you can start a new account with WoW and get the free copy of D3, I thought it was only for existing accounts, but I could be wrong about that so check it out anyway. Maybe once you pay for 1 month of service you would be eligible for free copy of D3 and my understanding is that promotion will run up untill May 1'st, so there might still be time if that's the case? If you decide to play WoW, I have toons on Nathrezim(PvP) and Terenas(PvE). Our guild has all but disbanded now but there's still a few around that play.

As far as playing D3 together I'll share more info as I know it. We'll probably setup a voice server so we can chat while we play. I'm not certain if we'll have a website with forums etc. I'm thinking about hosting one, but I want to see how many people are interested first. If there's enough interest I would be happy to put one together. My son does web design so I'm sure I could get him to set us up with something if I foot the bill. :)

I'm in. I just loading the game client now, so May 15th I'll be on.

Once again: I suck. But, I love playing  even though I have NO idea what's going on and pick my gear based on what's cute. Also, I'm usually drinking while playing.

I do.  I reactivated my account just for the free Diablo 3 download when it releases.

I used to belong to a guild that called themselves ALE. Can't remember now exactly what it stood for but the first letter was Alcholics I do believe. None of them really were, but they all did enjoy drinking as much as gaming. In fact their hero was Farnham if that tells you anything. :)

I don't drink much these days, but I still enjoy gaming and don't mind at all that others drink while playing. I've found it normally makes people funnier and more fun to be around in general. LOL

D3 releases tomorrow at 2:00 AM. Anyone planning on staying up all night? Well 2:00 AM TST. That's Texas Standard Time.

I can't load it until I upgrade my OS. I'm working on that this week. I'm 2 versions behind. I can't download Mists of Pandaria either. I'll hopefully be on by this weekend.

Played from 1 AM until 6 AM.  Fun game.
