Title: Speaking of Ted Talks... Post by: Pappy13 on March 29, 2012, 11:50:18 am Do ya'll watch these? I've seen several of them before because someone posted a link, but last night for whatever reason I just started watching them on youtube. They really are very good.
Here's one I really enjoyed from Bill Gates last night. I know some of you don't think much of Bill Gates, but he's really doing a lot of intersting stuff now that he's no longer involved in Microsoft on a day to day basis. If you think Steve Jobs was an important innovator, you should see what Bill Gates is up to these days. Bill Gates on energy: Innovating to zero! At first I was skeptical, but the more I watched, the more he made me believe this isn't a trick. I'm still skeptical, but much less than I was prior to watching this. I've seen a couple by Adam Savage (Mythbusters) Loved the one about him building his own maltese falcon statue,then his most recent one about simple ideas leading to scientific discoveries..It was ok,but not great IMO I got semi hooked on them by watching the one,about the guy having cancer,and dying,and talking about his life....
