Title: JT on the defense Post by: MikeO on July 13, 2012, 04:42:01 pm JT being a member of the press now and on ESPN is all over ESPN radio as training camp near. Heard him yesterday. When asked about the Fins switching to a 4-3 from a 3-4 he said it will be no issue as their talent has cross-over ability on the d-line to play well in both and he thinks the linebackers are actually better suited for a 4-3.
He said last year Mike Nolan used Cam Wake a lot in pass coverage and not rushing the passer and he said he didn't agree with that. And thinks there is no way Wake should do anything but rush the passer. He took some other subtle shots at Nolan as well. He also thinks Wake fits great into a 4-3 RDE as well. Title: Re: JT on the defense Post by: MikeO on July 13, 2012, 08:22:48 pm If what he said was true about Nolan having Wake in pass coverage a lot last year (and JT would have no reason to lie) then it makes me think what this unit could have done if they had someone who used Wake to his full potential.
