Title: From the scrimmage.
Post by: Pappy13 on August 04, 2012, 12:00:01 pm
This is the type of thing that drives coaches crazy. I think Moore's days in Miami are numbered. During the 2 minute drill...

"4-18-43 -- Moore spikes the ball. (Can't believe he did that on fourth down.)"

oh boy that's not good.

Reminds of the time Pat White was practicing his scrambling out of the pocket against "air", just shadow playing, and he ran out bounds. The coaches were dumb-founded! Since you are "making believe" there is a defender there why not just "make believe" you can get by him and not run out of bounds.

Tannehill's numbers put a big smile on my face.

So our presumptive 1 and 2 are completing in the 50% range, while the 3rd and 4th string guys are hitting near 80%.

Random from a low sample size?
Or just not doing the same things against the same guys... 'cause I doubt to believe Devlin is better *now* than Moore and Garrard.

Just a scrimmage I wouldn't read too much into it. The preseason games will tell us more.

Only real news from camp thus far seems to be that Vonate Davis might be losing his starting CB job to Richard Marshall. I guess Marshall has played lights out this far and Davis not so much.

None of these numbers mean squat. I seem to recall Henne going something like 10-12 for 165 and 3 TDs or something? And Marshall had all three TDs catches. So.... Remind me again how that worked out last year? It's a warm up for a preseason game... Which is essentially a warm up. Let's keep it in perspective. -EK

I think only Moore played against the starting D . I am glad to hear that the O-line is working with the same players from the begining. Our O-line has been our problem for a long time.If we are playing the same guys on starting offense as starting Dfense
our Offense has to improve.(YEA------turn stile is gone YEA YEA)

all the reports have said Jonathan Martin goes up against Cam Wake everyday in practice and holds his own and hasn't struggled at all with him. So that is very good news for the oline. And Hicks has been doing well also
