I don't think that's a smart move. And I'm not sure that if Cooley can't make the roster elsewhere he would be our starter.

I go either way on this, for a team that lacks offensive weapons I say bring him in, use some 2 or 3 TE sets and maybe create mismatches. If they don't bring him in I am fine with that as well because he isn't the answer to any problems. Just a 1 year band aide, which one year band aides are OK, I am not against them. Just not sure if he is the right one. If they sign him its a blah move if they don't its no big deal honestly. Title: Re: Cooley Released! Anything to make life tougher for Ryan and his twin Sparano is good for business! Lets face it, Cooley over Fasano in most peoples books.

Fasano has 1 tough preseason game. Clay while maybe not totally well rounded is a threat in the passing game and can be a matchup nightmare on linebackers. It's not Gronkowski-Hernandez, but its not atrocious either. We will probably carry 4 or 5 tight ends so if Cooley is TE #4 or something that isn't a big deal. Title: Re: Cooley Released!
