Title: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 08:46:02 pm Naanee....Not a good way to start!
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 08:47:00 pm You can't tell me that no one on this team can catch better than Naanee. I have not seen him catch a pass yet and I've seen at least 6 bounce off his hands.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 08:48:12 pm Total Practice player....game time he shrinks up
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 08:54:53 pm Most of the 1st team defense only played 1 series.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Cathal on August 29, 2012, 09:03:57 pm That's pass interference in the end zone. Damn refs.
It's nice to see Daniel Thomas with a good run and some run blocking. Tannehill with some very accurate passing. Not too shabby. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Cathal on August 29, 2012, 09:07:05 pm That was a nice hit to cause a fumble. The kicker recovered the ball. Lol.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 09:07:24 pm If a calls like that happen Week 1 and cost teams games, this league will be in trouble
Easy PI call that they blew. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 09:08:25 pm Marlon Moore caused that fumble. Might have just won himself a roster spot
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 09:12:18 pm And Matt Moore gets sacked again, wasting the fumble opportunity. I swear, he'd be on his way out if Garrard wasn't injured.
And I hate when the Cowboys play Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash after a sack. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 09:13:11 pm If a calls like that happen Week 1 and cost teams games, this league will be in trouble A better WR sells that better though too. You have to try to come back to ball through the DB so that it's clear PI. He faded away from the ball and made it a tougher call.Easy PI call that they blew. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Cathal on August 29, 2012, 09:14:03 pm And Matt Moore gets sacked again, wasting the fumble opportunity. I swear, he'd be on his way out if Garrard wasn't injured. And I hate when the Cowboys play Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash after a sack. I'd blame the left tackle for that. As soon as the ball was hiked, the LT got beat and Moore had no time. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 09:15:14 pm A better WR sells that better though too. You have to try to come back to ball through the DB so that it's clear PI. He faded away from the ball and made it a tougher call. Easy call the ref missed. CB never turned his head. Nothing to sell. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 09:16:39 pm THAT PI call was worse than the NON PI call!
The NFL can't let this happen Week 1. They just can't Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Cathal on August 29, 2012, 09:18:38 pm THAT PI call was worse than the NON PI call! The NFL can't let this happen Week 1. They just can't I know. That's not the 1st stupid PI call against the Dolphins. Unfortunately, I think we will have to deal with them for a week or more. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 09:21:52 pm THAT PI call was worse than the NON PI call! I'm not sure that's a PI call with the regular refs. People are gonna blame the replacement refs for everything. The NFL can't let this happen Week 1. They just can't Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 09:22:17 pm I'm not sure that's a PI call with the regular refs. People are gonna blame the replacement refs for everything. When they make garbage calls like that...yeah, they will Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 09:25:37 pm I'd blame the left tackle for that. As soon as the ball was hiked, the LT got beat and Moore had no time. Still, Moore didn't step up in the pocket. He never does. That's why he got sacked so many times on this field on Thanksgiving and ultimately cost the Dolphins that game. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 09:28:11 pm Looks like Nolan Carroll and Jimmy Wilson realize thus is an audition. Great defensive stops the last two snaps
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 09:30:27 pm And Moore gets sacked, then throws a pick six. The Dolphins really need to get rid of this sorry excuse for a quarterback
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 09:32:11 pm I'm telling you if Devlin comes in and plays well, they may very well go with Tannehill, Devlin and Garrard to start the season.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Cathal on August 29, 2012, 09:32:23 pm Yeah.... Moore screwed that up. Staring down your receiver when you're a vet? That's unbelievable.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 09:34:05 pm Moore is hurting his trade value..lol. It's was already at a 6th or 7th rounder. Crap!
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 09:34:35 pm I must say that I like the way that Dolphins RB's are looking even if it is 2nd and 3rd string D.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 09:35:35 pm Ben Volin just reported that a team source told him it is highly unlikely they are trading Matt Moore. They feel they need the best backups in the league.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 09:46:58 pm ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?? THEY LET MCGEE SCRAMBLE ALL OVER THE FUCKING PLACE AND LET HIM GET A LONG COMPLETION ALONG WITH A PERSONAL FOUL CALL??? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 09:47:42 pm ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?? THEY LET MCGEE SCRAMBLE ALL OVER THE FUCKING PLACE AND LET HIM GET A LONG COMPLETION ALONG WITH A PERSONAL FOUL CALL??? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?? Preseason and backups are playing... lol lol I love the passion! Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Cathal on August 29, 2012, 09:54:59 pm Lol. I was saying the same thing Landshark.
Also, who is lane? He just ran Smith over. That was sweet. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 09:55:52 pm Preseason and backups are playing... lol lol I love the passion! Apparently Jovorskie Clear The Lane has the same passion. Just bulled his way to a firsr down and knocked a Cowboy out of the game doing it. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 09:56:55 pm Also, who is lane? He just ran Smith over. That was sweet. [/quote He is your starting FB Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 10:03:30 pm I think the Dolphins could use a few of the 3rd string DB's from Dallas.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: tubba marxxx on August 29, 2012, 10:03:41 pm Apparently Jovorskie Clear The Lane has the same passion. Just bulled his way to a firsr down and knocked a Cowboy out of the game doing it. Shark props on the nickname if you came up with that lol..love it Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 10:06:49 pm Now THAT was a bad PI call. No chance of catching that pass.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 10:08:16 pm And a couple of their 3rd string WR's. LOL
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 10:36:55 pm Jeff Fuller can pack his bags. Just committed a knucklehead holding penalty that wiped out a nice run by Lamar Miller, then shudder on a block that caused Miller to lose yards on 3rd and 1.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 10:44:34 pm Moore out, Pat Devlin in. Him and Lamar Miller are making a case to be kept around.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 10:47:55 pm Jeff Fuller can pack his bags. Just committed a knucklehead holding penalty that wiped out a nice run by Lamar Miller, then shudder on a block that caused Miller to lose yards on 3rd and 1. I'll still take Fuller over Naanee. At least he catches the ball.Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: phinphan on August 29, 2012, 10:48:27 pm And Matt More falls to third...
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 10:49:56 pm I'll still take Fuller over Naanee. At least he catches the ball. And I'll take Rishard Matthews over both those guys. Falling down catch. Buff said Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 10:51:43 pm That conversation between Witten and the Doc was the best part of this game. LOL
Ya'll might not have seen that since I'm watching the Cowboys broadcast. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 10:53:04 pm Miller Time!!!! First Dolphins toouchdown in seven quarters. Very impressed with Pat Devlin on that drive
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 10:53:48 pm And I'll take Rishard Matthews over both those guys. Falling down catch. Buff said I got no problem keeping Matthews, Fuller and Cunningham. Get rid of Naanee, Moore and Wallace. At least the rooks have a chance of getting better. Gates is not even in the conversation.Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 11:03:45 pm I got no problem keeping Matthews, Fuller and Cunningham. Just remember, Philbin will be looking at some other team's castoff receivers as of Saturday morning. That's one thing all these players on the bubble have to realize. Just because you still have a job Saturday morning doesn't mean you will be on the roster for the Houston game. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 11:06:28 pm Just remember, Philbin will be looking at some other team's castoff receivers as of Saturday morning. That's true, but these guys know the offense. You can maybe bring in 1 guy and teach him a few plays to get him ready for week 1, but you can't bring in 2 or 3 guys and teach them the offense in under a week. Just don't see it happening.Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 11:11:06 pm That's true, but these guys know the offense. I wouldn't be so sure of that. He picks up a Green Bay receiver, no need to teach that guy the offense. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: phinphan on August 29, 2012, 11:13:08 pm That's true, but these guys know the offense. Yes but if you bring in guys that can catch the ball we are already one step further.Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 29, 2012, 11:14:28 pm Moore out, Pat Devlin in. Him and Lamar Miller are making a case to be kept around. LOL...Miller was never going anyplace! It's Mike Sherman's offense, not Joe Philbin's but you're right to a point. Still don't think it's a simple as you make it sound.Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 29, 2012, 11:16:26 pm Matt Moore's final stats for this game: 4 completions on 12 attempts with three sacks, a pick six, and a miserable 12.2 quarterback rating. And Philbin wants to keep this guy around??
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 29, 2012, 11:28:53 pm 7-11 having a little more difficulty staying open against a real D.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: MikeO on August 30, 2012, 12:30:56 am Matt Moore's final stats for this game: 4 completions on 12 attempts with three sacks, a pick six, and a miserable 12.2 quarterback rating. And Philbin wants to keep this guy around?? Garrard can't even Jog right now. Moore has the backup job by default Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Pappy13 on August 30, 2012, 01:06:13 am Garrard can't even Jog right now. Moore has the backup job by default What's wrong with Devlin?Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Stinger24 on August 30, 2012, 04:09:12 am What's wrong with Devlin? Moore is absolutely atrocious I would rather Devlin be the backup how the hell was he better than The henster last year. Man that is sad. Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Landshark on August 30, 2012, 07:04:17 am One bright spot. I saw Jonathan Martin working at left tackle in the third quarter and he played reasonably well. Probably because that's his natural position. Again, if Jake Long battles injuries all season, don't be surprised if the Dolphins let him walk this offseason. His replacement is ready to go.
Title: Re: Fins-Cowboys GAME THREAD Post by: Cathal on August 30, 2012, 08:17:04 am So, Devlin as the back-up, right?
