Just read that myself. Always liked him as an actor. Kinda makes me wonder if he was juicing. He was one big mofo......

Though I liked him as an actor, I don't really love any move he's in.  I guess I liked Sin City....  ....but not a huge fan of Green Mile like so many.

One of the few King novels that I thought transitioned well into the big screen. What didn't you like about it? Duncan absolutely WAS John Coffee! -EK

I just remember it being very long (which is normally OK), but I didn't connect with the characters or the story.  I haven't seen it since I was in the theater, but I remember the bad guy having no motivations for being as mean as he was.

Gotta agree with EK on this one... I loved the 6 books in The Green Mile, and by the time I was done reading it, John Coffey was one of my favorite characters. When the movie came out, I was worried that they would butcher it, but Michael Clarke Duncan absolutely nailed Coffey's personality, Hanks was dynamite as Paul, and the supporting cast was amazing.
