Title: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: tubba marxxx on September 17, 2012, 02:36:31 pm We all know how Reggie Bush vowed to win the Rushing Title this year. I figured I'd start a thread to follow where he stands in that goal. Just for fun :)
Through Week 2 1. C.J. Spiller, BUF 29 CAR / 292 YARDS / 3 TD / 10.1 YPC 2. Reggie Bush, MIA 40 CAR / 241 YARDS /2 TD / 6.0 YPC 3. Marshawn Lynch, SEA 47 CAR / 207 YARDS / 1 TD / 4.4 YPC 4. Frank Gore, SF 33 CAR / 201 YARDS / 2 TD / 6.1 YPC 5. Stevan Ridley, NE 39 CAR / 196 YARDS / 1 TD / 5.0 YPC Off to a pretty solid start!! Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: Brian Fein on September 17, 2012, 03:37:49 pm CJ Spiller is bound to fall apart. Especially once Fred Jackson comes back.
If Reggie is still top-3 by week 12, I'll be impressed. Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: tubba marxxx on September 17, 2012, 03:46:15 pm CJ Spiller is bound to fall apart. Especially once Fred Jackson comes back. If Reggie is still top-3 by week 12, I'll be impressed. Agreed, it's obviously early but still I think it would be entertaining to keep track weekly and see how close (or far) he is towards the goal. Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: Brian Fein on September 17, 2012, 03:55:13 pm He also said he wanted to average 4 YPC. So far, he's well above that.
Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: tubba marxxx on September 25, 2012, 06:23:01 pm After Week 3:
1. Jamaal Charles, KC 55 CAR / 323 YARDS / 1 TD / 5.9 YPC 2. Maurice Jones-Drew, JAX 59 CAR / 314 YARDS / 1 TD / 5.3 YPC 3. C.J. Spiller, BUF 33 CAR / 308 YARDS / 3 TD / 9.3 YPC 4. Marshawn Lynch, SEA 72 CAR / 305 YARDS / 1 TD / 4.2 YPC 5. Reggie Bush, MIA 50 CAR / 302 YARDS / 2 TD / 6.0 YPC Reggie is questionable for next week, and CJ Spiller is doubtful. Look for this to change Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: Fins4ever on September 25, 2012, 07:35:45 pm I am really impressed with the dedication and what Reggie has done since being in Miami. I hope he comes back quickly, but if RB wins the rushing title in a new WCO, we are in more trouble than I thought.

Ahh, one can only dream ;) Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: Brian Fein on September 26, 2012, 07:52:30 am He's 21 yards off the lead, considering Charles got 91 of his 323 on one busted play. Not bad, let's hope he doesn't miss more time.
Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: suck for luck on September 26, 2012, 09:49:09 am How does Spiller have that ridonkulous YPC?
Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: MikeO on September 26, 2012, 11:48:28 am How does Spiller have that ridonkulous YPC? When the Jets were up by 4 or 5 TD's in Week 1 and the game was over they let him run wild cause it didn't matter Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: Brian Fein on September 26, 2012, 12:29:29 pm he has had 3 or 4 runs over 50 yards, and he only played about 7 quarters. That won't last.

Another great observation from Brian F. It is called an anomaly of statistics, an outlier if you like. A couple of games with 20 carries for 70-80 yds. will correct it, and you can be damn sure the Fins will deflate those numbers. Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: tubba marxxx on October 06, 2012, 12:35:25 am Sorry for the delay updating this. Slipped my mind a little bit.
1. Marshawn Lynch, SEA 92 CAR / 423 YARDS / 2 TD / 4.6 YPC 2. Jamaal Charles, KC 72 CAR / 411 YARDS / 2 TD / 5.7 YPC 3. LeSean McCoy, PHI 81 CAR / 384 YARDS / 1 TD / 4.7 YPC 4. Arian Foster, HOU 103 CAR / 380 YDS / 4 TD / 3.7 YPC 5. Alfred Morris, WAS 82 CAR / 376 YARDS / 4 TD / 4.6 YPC 6. Reggie Bush, MIA 67 CAR/ 369 YARDS / 2 TD / 5.5 YPC His health caused him to fall out of the top five, but I love the YPC average. No reason he shouldn't climb back into it on that pace, plus regaining health. Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: MikeO on October 06, 2012, 05:59:01 am Reggie could have a very big game this week if he is back to 100%. Cincy has had trouble with the run thus far
Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: tubba marxxx on October 09, 2012, 09:14:08 am Through Week 5
1. Jamaal Charles, KC 102 CAR / 551 YARDS / 2 TD / 5.4 YPC 2. Arian Foster, HOU 132 CAR / 532 YARDS / 5 TD / 4.0 YPC 3. Marshawn Lynch, SEA 113 CAR / 508 YARDS / 2 TD / 4.5 YPC 4. Alfred Morris, WSH 100 CAR / 491 YARDS / 4 TD / 4.9 YPC 5. Stevan Ridley, NE 102 CAR/ 490 YARDS / 4 TD / 4.8 YPC 6. LeSean McCoy, PHI 97 CAR / 437 YARDS / 1 TD / 4.5 YPC 7. Frank Gore, SF 80 CAR / 432 YARDS / 4 TD / 5.4 YPC 8. Adrian Peterson, MIN 96 CAR / 420 YARDS / 2 TD / 4.4 YPC 9. Ray Rice, BAL 81 CAR / 419 YARDS / 3 TD / 5.2 YPC 10. Reggie Bush, MIA 86 CAR / 417 YARDS / 3 TD / 4.8 YPC Starting to tail off a little bit :( Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: fyo on October 09, 2012, 09:59:44 am #6 and down are VERY close...
I wish the Dolphins would stop trying end arounds once they've established that the opposing D just has too much speed on the outside. It's not like they're using them to set Bush up for some passing (which I also wouldn't mind seeing more of). Hopefully, the "soft" fronts of the next 5 opponents will allow us (and Reggie) to rack up some yards. Reggie in 12th, could be 13th if McGahee has over 58 yards tonight. Still very close in the bottom half of the top 10 Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: MikeO on October 15, 2012, 04:30:25 pm He isn't going to win the rushing title. He should finish Top 10 and if things break right he could finish Top 5. As the games go on and the coaches get more comfortable with RT1 they will let him do more in the passing game I think and open things up more.

LOL.....I didn't start it, but a lot of fans at the stadium are running with it as a "mock" of RGIII. Just harmless fun Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: tubba marxxx on October 16, 2012, 12:12:16 am He isn't going to win the rushing title. Pretty much the only person that thought Reggie Bush could win the rushing title was Reggie Bush. I think a top 5 finish would be pretty damn impressive though. Lots of games left. Who knows Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: fyo on October 16, 2012, 08:58:38 am What the heck happened to Bush and the running game against St. Louis? 1.4 yards per attempt???
The Rams have been fairly bad up front on D through 5 weeks, yet seemed to completely dominate the Dolphins vaunted O-line. Okay, looking at it, I can probably answer myself... The Rams were the #1 defense against runs up the middle, which was the strongest point of attack for the Dolphins. It should have been possible to get something going behind Jake Long, but obviously didn't (although I don't remember many runs that weren't either up the middle or around the edges). The Jets are up after the bye-week and the matchups look a lot better there... I guess I just expected too much against the Rams :( Title: Re: Reggie Bush Watch Post by: Landshark on October 16, 2012, 09:58:02 am It should have been possible to get something going behind Jake Long, but obviously didn't (although I don't remember many runs that weren't either up the middle or around the edges). Because Long is clearly not what he used to be. The Dolphins would be wise to either trade him or let him walk at season's end. I wouldn't pay Pro Bowl money to a washed up left tackle whose best years are behind him, although it's really sad that this is only Long's fifth year in the league and he's already looking to be washed up. |
