Post by: Fins4ever on October 24, 2012, 10:09:16 am
What happened in Libya and why did the Obama administration lie to us?

I've stayed away from commenting in these threads, but I wanted to ask one question.

Am I the only one who notices that whenever Fox is the source of any material, I don't ever bother opening it.  To me, Fox is so completely biased and a proven source of misleading information that it's has lost any credibility and should never be taken seriously.

If Fox is your primary source of political information, no wonder you hate Obama.

The same could be said about the majority of major network media outlets. The only difference is that most lean heavily to the left as opposed to Fox.

Nope.  Fox is tilted so heavily to the right that anybody else looks left in comparison.

Fox News should not be considered a viable source of information on anything.  They are as slanted as any yellow news source this country has ever seen.  William Randolph Hearst would be proud.

The same could be said about MSNBC as opposed to your opinion about Fox. Not only that, aside from the most single biased major media outlet. The majority of major media outlets lean to the left.

I just think If I cared what Foxnews,MSNBC,CNN,etc, etc thought,or said......I'd Watch their channel,I don't watch any of them...Unless there is something like the Colorado shooting, and I want live pictures....I watch as little of that as I can.I have enough problems of my own....

Modified to add,I think if this wasn't Election time...this would be barely a Blip on most channels radar...

I kind of feel the same way. If you don't mind me asking, how do you get info and news since most outlets have a bias of some kind. When I watch, I generally watch them all and try to get an an accurate sight picture.

The first issue is calling any of this news. They are commentary networks. Look for actual news sources if you want news. If you want biased coverage look to these networks.

Title: The worst part about the incident in Libya
Post by: Fins4ever on October 24, 2012, 03:39:49 pm
Regardless of political affiliation, or no affiliation at all, besides the loss of American lives in Libya, for me the most worrisome part is that the government clearly deceived the citizens of America. In other words, they lied to us until the evidence was overwhelming and they finally had to come clean. Even today, Hillary denies that social media is a reliable source of information.  I say get rid of all of them that had any involvement with the deception.

We all know several country's governments go to great lengths to restrict and manipulate information provided by the media, but I honestly thought America was better than that and our country was still operated by honest, full disclosure type media reporting. Apparently, I was wrong!

I did not always use Fox and still have CNN as my homepage. I really do try and read both sides, but listening to the garbage on places like MSNBC or hearing Chris Matthews yelling racism all the time actually pushed me away. I don't like all the news on Fox either. Remember, I was a straight line voting democrat until about 18 months ago. I even voted for Obama over McCain, the Sen. of my home state. That speaks volumes. Thank goodness I had an open mind to change.

Not opening an article just because of the source doesn't make much sense to me. In other words, what is meant is that you only go to and read sites that agree with your preconceived opinion.

How many times can you bring up Libya in a day? If you thought this country ran on full disclosure you most certainly were wrong. No government, all the way down to the city or township you live in, has full disclosure. I guarantee that.

Lil B-
Threads should not have been merged as they each have separate topics for discussions.

One is meant to identify the governments role in what the media reports and the other is focused on the criminal activities of the offense. Libya is only a small common denominator. Sorry you didn't see that.

Please undo. With all respect, aren't you overdoing the mod thing just a bit?
