Ok. Good job by the defense to not give up any points. Lucky the FG kicker missed that.

Tannehill should have seen that coming. Needs to throw it away.

good job on the first drive

Darn, if only Ryan hits Fasano. Well, a FG is better than nothing. Hopefully running the ball isn't going to be too much of an issue today.

the offensive line really needs to work on making holes for the rb's.   there's no where for them to go

Best 3rd down D, eh? Luck is having his way.

Too many third down conversions on that drive.  That 3rd and 14 conversion hurt bad.

Hi all!  ;) Couple of thoughts.

Luck is keying on Carroll and who can blame him.

Don't let Reggie Wayne beat you!

Give Martin help on Mathis

yep miami "stingy" defense is non existant  today

Tie ball game.  Good red zone defense after getting burned.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: stealth3ltt on November 04, 2012, 02:00:12 pm
defense really needs to get pressure on luck.  he's mostly in the shotgun formation so it takes longer for the defense to get to him.  miami needs to make some adjustments

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog

no pressure at all on Luck.

And Vernon again steps up and nicks the ball on a long field goal!!!   If Tanny can put six on the board here, I'd feel really good about this team's chances heading into the locker room

Jake Long is as good as done in Miami after this season.  He's going to want the same type of money he was making, but his play no longer justifies it.  His replacement is playing on the opposite side of the line.

Not sure what the blocking scheme was supposed to be, but it surer looked like Jake messed up. Agree, not sure I keep him and if they do, it will be at a fraction of the salary.

He won't accept a fraction of his salary.  Dolphins are lucky that the Colts receivers are suddenly dropping passes.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Cathal on November 04, 2012, 02:38:07 pm
Well, they made Indy a one dimensional team, unfortunately, Indy still has Luck and Wayne who is shredding us.

I would have liked to have put up some points on that last drive but Jake Long almost got Tanny killed, AGAIN. I guess I'll take 17-13 at the half.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: stealth3ltt on November 04, 2012, 02:39:13 pm
this is crazy!!  luck with 273 in the first half alone

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Fins4ever on November 04, 2012, 02:42:10 pm
I see Smith #24 all over. Why is he not covering Wayne on every play. The coveraqe from the LB's is pitiful and Carroll should turn in his uniform and give back his check.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Fins4ever on November 04, 2012, 02:45:07 pm
The ST's and offense is going to need to cover the pathetic secondary. Most don't consider Indy's D line anything special. Why no pass rush?

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Fins4ever on November 04, 2012, 02:50:55 pm
2nd half thoughts.

Any sighting of Stark or Odrick? Do we just have 1 pass rusher.

Would like to see more of Miller, less of Wayne.

The Colts have no running game, WTF! is going on???

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Cathal on November 04, 2012, 02:57:01 pm
I've seen Long's name way too often, and not in a good way.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog

Jake is getting schooled. 3rd time he let his man beat him.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog

Another damn 3rd down conversion. This defense fricken sucks today. On a very simple slant no less.

this looks disgusting..   i cant see miami winning this today

About time we got some pressure. We really needed that fumble recovery.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog

This pass D is just shit, plain OLD SHIT! Now we see missed tackles.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Fins4ever on November 04, 2012, 03:08:11 pm
They had all fucking week to figure out how to put pressure on Luck and have a decent pass D. F- on all counts. Win or lose, THIS SUCKS!

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog

Heck of pass by Tanny on the run.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Cathal on November 04, 2012, 03:14:25 pm
Wow. That was embarrassing. The offense can't get anything going. This isn't going to be good since the D is pretty porous.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog

this doesnt look good.  offense cant do anything and defense will not stop luck....

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Cathal on November 04, 2012, 03:20:42 pm
Another 3rd down conversion on a short dump off for, what, 13 yards? We need some pass rush. We will probably need a takeaway to get in good position or points.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Landshark on November 04, 2012, 03:22:02 pm
GOD DAMNIT!!!!!!  ANOTHER FUCKING THIRD DOWN CONVERSION!!!!!

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: EDGECRUSHER on November 04, 2012, 03:22:33 pm
Christ, what is this shit? Luck is going to go for 500 yards today. What is the rookie record? They don't even have a running game, so there is no excuse for this.

Mathis is gone too, so the offense better get going.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Landshark on November 04, 2012, 03:23:23 pm
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??  ANOTHER THIRD AND SIXTEEN AND THEY GET THE FIRST DOWN??  ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Cathal on November 04, 2012, 03:23:43 pm
And another damn 3rd and long first down. Jesus. If the D doesn't cause a fumble or INT we are going to lose to FGs. So sad.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: raptorsfan29 on November 04, 2012, 03:24:16 pm
am i the only one that thinks if it is 3rd and 50, that the defense will allow a 51 yard pass.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog

That was a god damn INT and Sean Smith doesn't know how to fucking catch? That was a perfect INT. idiot. A #1 DB makes that catch.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: EDGECRUSHER on November 04, 2012, 03:27:15 pm
Luck threw a hail mary into 2 Dolphins and it's a touchdown pass.

Please, no more discussion for the rest of the year about how our secondary is improving and not that bad.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: mecadonzilla on November 04, 2012, 03:28:35 pm
What a horrible defensive display this team is putting on now.  Andrew Luck is going to have 500 yards in this game.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Cathal on November 04, 2012, 03:28:59 pm
No pass rush means open season on our secondary. They've been exposing it all day.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: hordman on November 04, 2012, 03:29:09 pm
that's wicw now that the DEF had a chance to mek a play in the same series.  Dansby drops a INT and and the hail mary by Luck.  wow.

Post by: Fins4ever on November 04, 2012, 03:39:56 pm
Gaffney looks like a POS. Get him out. Surprised there was no runs on 1st down inside the 20. Bush being onmthe sideline really stunk!

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog

isn't that surprising, 3rd and 11 and they get the first.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Cathal on November 04, 2012, 03:44:19 pm
If I was the colts o coordinator, I'd just run the first two plays then throw on 3rd and long. We need to get a turnover or big stop. Can't let them chew up the clock.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: Cathal on November 04, 2012, 03:45:10 pm
I don't like the feeling of this game. We can't get pressure and when we do, Luck gets it out quick for big gains.

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: EDGECRUSHER on November 04, 2012, 03:45:51 pm
Miami should just blitz every play, nothing else seems to be working.

Since Luck will set the rookie record for pass yards in a game, what's the record for 3rd down conversions in a game?

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog
Post by: hordman on November 04, 2012, 03:46:12 pm
Sean smith sucks.  That's football 101 right there, break down and make the tackle.  Sean smith cost us this game IMO.  He sucks, please no mention of hm plaYing well

Title: Re: Fins-Colts blog

We can't give Indy the ball back with our secondary. We either need to score a TD with 4 seconds left or hit a FG as time expires and hope we win the coin toss. If Indy has the ball with a chance to win and 90 seconds, they will win. Guaranteed.

To much time by tannehill changing the play at the line scrimmage.  Run the fockin ball, it's 2nd and 1, rit up the gut dammit.  So him screwing around cost an offside because incognito couldn't hold the stance.  I hate that shit.  Love tannehill but he was over analyzing the play there IMO

Tannehill has been impressive so far, but damn does he look like a shitty rookie on this drive with the game on the line.

Game over. What a shame. This was a game they needed to win.

And once again, they throw the ball BEHIND the first down marker on fourth and fifteen.  Shitty ass play call by Philbin/Sherman.

Goat of the Game - Sean Smith

The whole secondary really. We got a LONG way to go. I guess they heard us talking playoffs and wanted to make sure we didn't get our hopes up. Thanks for reminding me that you still suck.

That was not an inspiring game-winning drive attempt by Tannehill.  He had two bad misses.

Some of the shine is off.

What a hapless play by the defense to end the game.

Silver lining: the horse was dead, get people off the field before there are any injuries.

Tanny was anxious and nervous looking on those last few plays. I think they got some bad false starts on pounces, which didn't help, but whatever.

Man what happened to our defense today?

It's become cliche' that our defense falls apart when ever you're convinced they're going to play well.

The silver lining is overall we played well enough that we could have still won at the end of the game ... but lost.

As I said before the season started we are still short a few playmakers so the better we sit in the draft the better our future will be. One things for sure. No one can argue that losing didn't help the Colts. Tannehill is good but Luck just carried his whole team to victory. That's a lot for any QB let alone a rookie.

A disappointment with the loss today, thought it was on our reach.  3 pts in the 2nd half is not gonna get it done.  Sean smith had several chances to make plays today and didn't step up, pure and simple.  Offense played good today, but not good enough.  I have to say I'm disappointed with Bush as well.  Too much dancing around the hole, that's not gonna work in the nfl, defensive players are too quick for that snit, this is not USC.

I think we should all be negative, so that Miami feels comfortable enough to play well and win games. Whenever they start getting positive press, they do this. So, for the good of the team:

THIS TEAM F#%@ING SUCKS!!!

Am I the only one that thought Long had a horrible game too? Not as bad as Smith, but pretty damn close. Defense on 3rd down was just horrible too.

Long wasn't as good as you want him to be but he wasn't horrible. Freeney is pretty darned good as well.  I'll say this again. No one wins every battle in the NFL. It just isn't possible.

I think Long's play is going to make it tough to keep him around.  Not that Miami wouldn't be willing to re-sign him, but that he may feel like he's worth All-Pro money even though he is playing at a Role-Player level.

If someone were to make the argument that Pouncey is the best O-lineman on the team, could any of us dispute it?

Long's replacement is already on the roster

Sad part about today is that it probably puts us out of the playoffs.

FAR too early to say that. Still 8 games to be played. Lots of football left.

I agree with you about Pouncey. I think many thought he was going to be a solid player but I didn't know anyone who thought he would play to this level.

I don't know enough about Long as a person to even suggest where his head is. He made a lot of money up front so depending on his motives, may not be looking for top LT money. At least I hope not. This will definitely be something to watch for.
