Post by: Pats2006 on December 02, 2012, 04:22:29 pm
Patriots clinch the afc east with the win over the dolphins. I dont see them getting past the Texans. Dont think that the pats d can hold them down.

I don't see how the Pats can get a bye.

In order for NE to get ahead of the Texans -- NE must will all their games (including against Texans next week) and the Texans must lose one to either the Colts (play them twice) or Vikings.

For NE to get ahead of Ravens -- NE must win all their games and Ravens must lose two of the following: Steelers (6-5), Redskins (5-6)  Broncos (8-3)    Giants (7-4)   Bengals (6-5).

I don't see it.

For the Patriots I do give congrats because Pats and Hoodie are awesome posters.

I remember that thread I started about the Cardinals when Hoodie made that joke.  Few fans could make a joke after a loss like that.

Congrats to the Pats.

It's called class,sportsmanship...We have Patriot fans as members of our dysfunctional community. It's a game, they show class in a win, we need to show class in defeat.

It was interesting as I got to watch the Georgia - Alabama and the FSU - Ga. Tech games this weekend with many Gator and Nole fans as we were out of town on at a soccer tournament.  I found more of the graduates were willing to back their rivals while people who either attended classes or never went to the schools the support hating on their rivals more. I have no idea if this is indicative or not but seemed prevalent amongst us.

I can absolutely see the Pats representing the AFC in the Super Bowl.  Maybe they aren't as dominant as they have been in past years, but they are seem to be playing better each week.   The defense isn't great, but it isn't the terrible mess it was last year.  I still see them as the most balanced team, and you can't discount experience and coaching

Houston isn't the team it was at the beginning of the season, and I don't trust them down the stretch.  I guess we will know more after this week's game.  The Ravens have had a lot of injuries on defense and I think NE will just outscore them.   I think Denver is the biggest threat.

NE now controls own destiny for a bye.
