In order for NE to get ahead of the Texans -- NE must will all their games (including against Texans next week) and the Texans must lose one to either the Colts (play them twice) or Vikings. For NE to get ahead of Ravens -- NE must win all their games and Ravens must lose two of the following: Steelers (6-5), Redskins (5-6) Broncos (8-3) Giants (7-4) Bengals (6-5). I don't see it. I remember that thread I started about the Cardinals when Hoodie made that joke. Few fans could make a joke after a loss like that. Congrats to the Pats. It was interesting as I got to watch the Georgia - Alabama and the FSU - Ga. Tech games this weekend with many Gator and Nole fans as we were out of town on at a soccer tournament. I found more of the graduates were willing to back their rivals while people who either attended classes or never went to the schools the support hating on their rivals more. Maybe they aren't as dominant as they have been in past years, but they are seem to be playing better each week. The defense isn't great, but it isn't the terrible mess it was last year. I still see them as the most balanced team, and you can't discount experience and coaching
Houston isn't the team it was at the beginning of the season, and I don't trust them down the stretch. I guess we will know more after this week's game. The Ravens have had a lot of injuries on defense and I think NE will just outscore them. I think Denver is the biggest threat.
