I heard that Mark Sanchez threw a going-away party for Tebow when the news broke... but it was intercepted and run back for a touchdown. Title: Re: Tim Tebow Cut by the Jets Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on April 29, 2013, 10:58:48 am I think NE could be a good fit. It is one of several teams where there would be no QB controversy. And his flexibility would be great in NE no huddle offense. Assuming of course Tebow is willing to forgo being a QB to become a TE/RB.
Title: Re: Tim Tebow Cut by the Jets Post by: Spider-Dan on April 29, 2013, 11:18:21 am Lots of teams would be a good landing spot if he doesn't play QB.
I hope he goes to JAX or some other team that can play him at QB, so he has an opportunity to fail and the Persecuted Christian Complex can come to an end. But, him failing on a team (not named the jets) is the only way to put this story to bed. Title: Re: Tim Tebow Cut by the Jets Post by: CF DolFan on April 29, 2013, 03:47:49 pm If he is going to play QB it will be in the CFL. Even though it is not by his own doing, he brings too much drama with him for any NFL team to risk it. His only chance of playing in the NFL, barring a successful run in the CFL, will be to play another position.

He refused. No one wants this guy as a QB in the NFL. Title: Re: Tim Tebow Cut by the Jets Post by: MikeO on April 29, 2013, 09:13:54 pm He isn't an NFL football player at QB or any other position. The guy can't cut it at this level.
He had a few shining moments a couple years back but aside from that he is a one-hit wonder. Maybe the biggest one-hit wonder of all time in the NFL. Title: Re: Tim Tebow Cut by the Jets Post by: Dave Gray on April 29, 2013, 09:39:42 pm I think it's time for Tebow apologists to finally admit that he doesn't have it.
Title: Re: Tim Tebow Cut by the Jets Post by: mecadonzilla on April 29, 2013, 11:57:12 pm Why?
Sanchez will likely be out on his ass before too long as well. The Jets's season last year was an abortion on almost every conceivable front, and it makes me happy they hired a new GM and didn't fire their shitty HC. This NY team is destined to be fighting with Buffalo for who dwells in the AFCE basement. Instead of worrying about Tebow, you should be happy that the Jests are busy imploding. I don't know how anyone can say this with any certainty. He left as a winning QB on fairly successful team. His time in NY did not prove or disprove anything as he wasn't ever allowed to play QB. As I had mentioned earlier I don't know that he will ever get the chance. Tebow is a double edged sword as he brings a ton of fans but that comes with a huge distraction that most, if not all, are not willing to deal with to find out. I don't think he is a great throwing QB but does have the uncanny knack to hit the plays when he needs it. If he doesn't get a legitimate shot in the NFL and it doesn't look like he will at QB, I would certainly like to see him in the CFL just to see how it works out. If he fails he fails. Title: Re: Tim Tebow Cut by the Jets Post by: Spider-Dan on April 30, 2013, 07:09:42 pm I wonder if Tebow views Peyton as the person who ruined his world. Or maybe Elway.
Title: Re: Tim Tebow Cut by the Jets Post by: MikeO on April 30, 2013, 07:16:10 pm What are the realistic landing spots for this guy? Off the top of my head I think these are the 5.... (in no special order)
-Dallas (Jerry Jones loves attention) -New England (Belichick could kill the circus atmosphere and find some way to use him) -SF (Harbaugh same as Belichick, see above) -Washington (With RGIII's knee and Tebow also running that style of offense could be a nice insurance policy to maybe split time with Cousins if RGIII misses time, shit they signed Pat White!!) -Seattle (Pete Carroll would come up with something for him and is safe enough in his job to have no risk if it fails) With that said, if NOBODY signed him and Tebow sits out the entire year I wouldn't be shocked either. Tebow has baggage and I think that will scare most teams off. Hell, maybe he could just say the hell with it and retire and open a restaurant or two in his hometown area. He would probably make a killing. Tebow will never have a money problem (unless he is an utter moron with a buck which I dont see). He was a 1st round draft choice (QB no less) before the rookie wage scale went into effect. Not to mention he can make public appearances and be a traveling motivational speaker from now till the day he dies and make millions! Title: Re: Tim Tebow Cut by the Jets Post by: SCFinfan on April 30, 2013, 11:01:41 pm Unless Tebow can play RT better than Winston Justice, I don't see him playing in the NFL this year.

Name me another QB who all the experts said he dose not have the skills to be an NFL QB, Yet he was drafted in the first round anyway. Denver got him and went oh crap they were right. They lost any offensive threat they had playing to his skill set. The only reason they made the playoffs was their division sucked and they had a D that shut other teams down. T bow played 48 minutes of garbage ball untill he lolled the opposing D to sleep then he would have a couple of good plays. Second and this is big he's better than Peyton Manning because he won a playoff game against other college kids, The steelers were wiped out their starters were all out of that game. Peyton didn't have to play that game as they were on a bye that week. He went to the jets over Jax he didn't get a fair shake there either. Rex seen him in practice lighting up the field and throwing bombs to receivers and said MAN THIS KID HAS IT but I just don't like him so he picks his third string QB to play. And I would bet that if he went down they would have had a practice to see who could throw the ball. When he ran routes with the jets he would be wide open and Sanchez would not throw him the rock"I know Sanchez didn't like him"seriously Sanchez didn't want him to play another position on the team. And he threw games to beat up on poor Tebow.Get real.....Hey Jax said they don't want him he did not want to play their a year ago they don't want him now. The CFL team that has his contract said they are good at QB and if he want's to ride pine and hold a clipboard and work on being a QB ok but they don't want him. So any of you who want to argue he never got a chance should look at QB's who were way better than him but the NFL passed over. I always said I would take him for the phins if he played another position"every pro evaluator said play another position"but watching him with the jets he would run out and be wide open "Go back and watch some games" and they wouldn't throw his way. That tells me he can't catch either. His best offer so far is from Omaha steaks to play indoor football for 75 bucks a game.Sorry for my rant but I am sick and tired of Tebow crap. All the pro's said change position but he refused and he had allot of chances to prove himself more than allot of QB's who probably would have done better than him had the been given one chance..........
