Cut by the Ravens today, is visiting with Miami tomorrow. He is a 3 time ALL PRO!

I like Jovorskie Clear The Lane, but if an all pro is available at a good price, you gotta make the upgrade.

Lane missed a few key blocks. He really cost us the Arizona game and a win. Lane is a "nice player". Leach is a top end player at his position

Carpenter was more the Jets game, although he wasn't great in the Zona game either. The Arizona game was more the Lane missed block

Unfortunately, they let him leave town without signing a deal.  They picked up Aaron Rodriguez who just got cut from the Bears.  He's had two arrests.

Personally, I'm fine with Lane.  He'll improve.  1 or 2 missed blocks is no big deal for a rookie fullback.

Leach, however, is one of the best FB in the game.  I have no problem bringing him in for a workout, or signing him if the deal works out.  He's going to demand a big price tag.

But, letting him leave town isn't going to make me weep.  I think Lane is perfect for the role.

Philbin is tired of waiting. He wants a deal done this week

Giants are out of the running officially.

REPORTS are out there that Leach and the Fins are very close to a deal. Also being reported Leach won't visit with anymore teams. Down to Miami and Houston at this point

Giants are considering jumping back in on Leach as of this morning. They have had a change of heart

Baltimore is also considering re-signing him. This is taking forever.

It sounds as if a lot of teams want this Pro Bowler for a bargain price. I'd wait it out for a fairer offer if I were him.  I don't think he is that desperate to sign with just anyone.

Per Leach's agent, they expect a deal to get done this week.

Translation - Leach's agent comes out and says that a Miami deal is imminent to try and get Baltimore to pony up the big bucks that Leach wants.

Leach is going to sit out as long as possible and Miami knows that in my opinion. He is a veteran that doesn't want to participate in Miami's extra long preseason. Watch him sign in a couple of weeks to what has already been offered.

Leach is hoping the Ravens can match or come close to the Fins offer. He will wait as long as he can before Miami pulls their offer.

His heart is in Baltimore but he knows at his age he has to take the most $$$ as its his last pay day. He is hoping Baltimore can find a way

He's pulling a Ryan Clarke.

Ireland should give him an ultimatum.  Sign with us because you want to, or the offer is off the table.

He needs us more than we need him. 

I don't think this can be compared to Ryan Clark, seeing as the Dolphins offered Cark MORE MONEY than Pittsburgh did.

^^ Its the same in that he is using the Dolphins as leverage to get what he wants out of his current team.  Since Baltimore's offer isn't final yet, you can't tell if he is going to take less or not.

He's coming to Miami. He's just looking to make it later rather than sooner.

Baltimore did cut him. And he didn't take the pay cut to stay. So their offer might be as final as it gets. He just doesn't want to believe it maybe.

Or he is hoping KC or NYG jump in last minute and offer more than Miami.

I think he'll end up in Miami, which should definitely help the running game. I see runs up the middle, with Miller following Leach behind Pouncey, as potentially being extremely productive.

I'm still a little "meh" on both tackles though, and "still" really wish Miami had gone with a young stud OT with this year's trade-up pick, rather than the high-ceiling pass rusher.

He might be looking for more money.....or he might be looking for a team with better odds of making the playoffs.

For some players it is all about the $$$$ for some it is all about the ring. 

If its about the ring he would have signed with Houston after his visit there, he didn't because Houston gave him a low offer. Houston was the 2nd team he wanted to play for after Baltimore (his words). He has already played in Houston and loves the city (his words). His agent has stated clearly this is about the money as its his last pay day in the league ad he needs to cash in one last time

the latest...good luck trying to find that 3 year deal. 2 years is pushing it, 3 is unrealistic

The trouble is, both the top tackles were already off the board by the time Miami picked.  I was thinking the Jaguars would take Dion Jordan and then the Dolphins would trade up to grab Joeckel, but unfortunately, the Jags took Joeckel and Lane Johnson was considered a major reach at the third spot (even if he went 4th to the Eagles)

Clabo is one of the best RT's in the entire league. There is no issue there.

Miami's coaches feel confident in what they see in Martin. Until these coaches have a track record of being wrong over time....I give them the benefit of the doubt

That is why he has been on 6 teams in 10 years and has been to the pro-bowl only once.  He is decent player, but not "one of the best in the entire league."

That is so friggin misleading, seriously you are better than this!!! In 2004 (as an undrafted rookie) he bounced around on 4 teams. From 2005 to 2012 he was on 1 team (ATLANTA) and has been a top notch NFL tackle who has started 91 straight games and counting and started all 101 games he played in Atlanta.  And he was the 5th rated RT last year in the entire league according to PFF . So pro-bowl or not (popularity contest anyway) Clabo produced at a very high level and has since 2005.

Game of chess taking place now between Ireland and the agent. Vonta better hope he didn't just lose his "best offer"

Considering camp starts tomorrow, there are a lot of players the Dolphins won't sign before camp.

I think Leach is going to sit on the side until he realized Baltimore doesn't want him.

To me, its more important to get Jordan in camp than Leach.  I think Lane is perfectly fine at FB.

Miami might carry 4 or 5 tight ends I have a feeling. I know GB did a couple years back when Philbin was the OC
