Title: Shame of the Game- Cowboys (Preaseason)
Post by: Landshark on August 04, 2013, 11:26:34 pm
Matt Fucking Moore.  Enough said.  I hated this guy when he took over for Chad Henne in 2011 and lost four winnable games for this team.  I hated him last year when he stunk it up against the Bucs and the Cowboys in the preseason, and I fucking hate him after his performance tonight.  Pappy, I hope you're right in your other thread when you say it's only a matter of time before Pat Devlin becomes the backup.

Honorable Mention to Lamar Miller for fumbling away the first carry of the game setting up a Dallas touchdown and Marvin McNuttsack for simply not having one and dropping passes that hit him right in the hands.

The fans, for creating a SOTG for a preseason game?

A second vote for that right here...

Are you kidding?  Matt Moore is a great backup.  Sorry, but this entire post is just ridiculous.

I agree.  Moore's lack of success in the first half had more to do with poor blocking than anything else.  When he got sacked on that roll out, it was the right choice.  The chance of a turnover was too high on that play if he tried to throw the ball and the receiver was double covered.  The interception wasn't his fault, the receiver hesitated in the middle of his route.

Overall, Moore made good decisions but the rest of the team didn't play well around him.

If you roll out, you throw the ball out of bounds.  Matt Moore apparently doesn't know how to do that

Do you know how hard it is, as a right handed QB, to roll to the left and throw?

One play and suddenly he is garbage.  You are ridiculous.  You are what's wrong with Dolphins' fans.

Tannehill.  1 for 4.  Missed open receivers on short passes.

It's probably meaningless, but you want to see your starter look good and he looked off a bit.

Even though I don't agree with a SOTG for preseason, I'll play along.

How is it not Dallas Thomas?

Looking bad against other rookies makes you what? SMH...

It certainly was not a great performance for a third rounder. Hopefully it was opening night jitters because if you struggle against rookies it's really hard to justify you are a project.

On the other hand he made George Selvie look like a pro bowler and got Devlin hurt so he did accomplish a few things.

Fully agree!  He has no clue when to throw his punch.  He has a lot of work to do.

I think SOTG can be done in preseason as long as it is understood that it is in the context of preseason and all the variables inherent in playing with such a large mixture of people and no game plan.

Lamar Miller.  You're supposed to be THE guy.  You're supposed to be one of the biggest surprises in the NFL this year, a breakaway back who appears out of nowhere and takes out Turnover and Concussion factory Daniel Thomas... and on your first carry, you cough up the ball as though you were a teen choking on their first cigarette.
