Title: Ellerbe/Wheeler Post by: Landshark on September 16, 2013, 08:06:38 am Not only did Wheeler nail Andrew Luck to ice the game, but these guys combined for 26 tackles. Do you think Karlos Dansby and Kevin Burnett would've put up such numbers? These two free agent acquisitions are looking very good right about now.
Title: Re: Ellerbe/Wheeler Post by: yuppi on September 16, 2013, 08:23:55 am yeah Wheeler is playing better then I could ever imagine. Those guys are flying all over the place. Our whole lb crew is playing lights out. I forgot his name but Misi's replacement when he got injured came through and made a huge pass defense on a perfectly thrown ball and plucked it out at the last second.

I have been very impressed here. I liked Ellerbe when he was in Baltimore, but never heard of Wheeler before he came here. Obviously both were excellent choices.

Title: Re: Ellerbe/Wheeler Post by: MikeO on September 16, 2013, 11:00:01 am Ireland's free agent class o this past year certainly has not disappointed. Free Agent class has been a home run, but we are getting little to nothing from the draft class through 2 weeks (mainly do to injuries though). Dion Jordan--Injured/limited playing time so far...has looked great when out there though Taylor-Hasn't played a game yet Davis-Hasn't played a game yet Thomas-Hasn't played a game yet Simms-Back-up TE, only about 20 or so snaps per game through 2 games With the way Carroll and Patterson are playing it will be a struggle for Taylor and Davis to get playing time. Hopefully the 2 CB's can get healthy soon though. |
