You for nominating me. I didn't even play Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: DenverFinFan on September 30, 2013, 11:47:23 pm Philbin, running in the redzone when we could have tied it.
Conservative coaching fails. And tannehill because 3 ints is always bad Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: mecadonzilla on September 30, 2013, 11:56:50 pm I'm not sure how Tannehill could have played worse.
Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: Tenshot13 on September 30, 2013, 11:59:23 pm ^^^^ It irks me that when things are bad a lot of people are eager to bitch and moan about it. I've seen many SOTG threads started way before a game ends when MIA plays bad, but when they play good I never see a game ball thread made that quick. You for nominating me. I didn't even play Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: Cisco1081 on October 01, 2013, 06:06:31 am I know I dont post in this forum much, Im the guy that reads everything, but doesnt say much.
Everyone is quick to put the blame on Tannehill. I don't think there is much any QB could have done with that O-Line that he has in front of him. Yea, he made a few bad decisions, but one of the picks was a fluke tip. I noticed there were a few times that NO was playing the prevent defense, and only rushing 3 guys, they still got pressure. Thats sad. Shame Game - Entire O-Line Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: Landshark on October 01, 2013, 06:27:17 am Tannehill. That pick at the end of the first half turned the tide of the game. Instead of the Dolphins being up 17-14 at the half, the Saints were up 21-10
Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: fyo on October 01, 2013, 06:36:07 am Hartline took a play off on one play, costing an interception. Wallace stopped on a crossing route, Tannehill had him continuing. Hard to tell who's fault that was, but the result was a freak off-the-foot interception.
My biggest beef with Tannehill wasn't the interceptions, but rather that he took quite a few unnecessary sacks. The offensive line actually did a decent job most of the time last night, but Tannehill needs to develop some pocket presence. My Shame of the Game goes to Wallace. He played like shit and while I don't know if the int was his fault, the passes he dropped (including a long bomb -- the whole reason he got a huge contract) were on him. Gotta catch the ball. Nolan Carroll gets a dishonorable mention for trying to jump the route on a pass to Sproles way, way short of the sticks. And Carroll wasn't even close to the ball. WTF is it with this team and 3rd and long? Defensive coordinator gets a dishonorable mention as well. The game got out of hand and it didn't need to. Poor execution by too many players. Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: EKnight on October 01, 2013, 07:04:20 am 1A. Tannehill
1B. Wallace. Lets a perfectly thrown ball go right through his hands, commits a bonehead penalty, is to blame for one of those turnovers. A fourth of the season down, and the big offseason acquisition has about half as many yards and receptions as Jerome Simpson, who I've been repeatedly bashed for praising. -EK Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: CF DolFan on October 01, 2013, 08:41:44 am I pick Wallace. He could have opened the game up but failed on a ball right through his hands.
Besides that, I have to assume blame to him for the communication issues between he and Tannehill on the other few passes. It's funny that none of the other receivers seem to be having an issue. Gibson continues to get the ball and he's just as new as Mike. 4 games in and Mike looks to not only be overpaid but over matched. Honorable mention to Tannehill. 4 turnovers. Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: Pappy13 on October 01, 2013, 09:35:36 am 1A. Tannehill You hit the nail on the head here although I saw a lot of players doing the walk of shame after the game. Add in my admitted favorite boy Brian Hartline who chose to shoot a glare at Tannehill for the first pick rather then tackling the defensive player who had just picked him off allowing him to get another 20 yards downfield and forcing Ryan Tannehill to make the tackle. Way to make a bad play even worse Brian. Miami lost it's composure in that game which is concerning, but it's also uncharacteristic, so I still have faith in them.1B. Wallace. All that money to a guy that can't run the right route or catch a ball. If I were Wallace, I would promise myself never to let that happen again. He shamed himself on national TV. Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: Dave Gray on October 01, 2013, 10:55:13 am Lots of blame to go around, but I think you have to go with Tannehill today.

Dishonorable mention to Daniel Thomas who continues to look like Ronnie Brown in his final year with the Dolphins. Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: Brian Fein on October 01, 2013, 10:59:42 am Mike Wallace is the choice. Tannehill sucked but he also had moments of good play.
Wallace, for all the bitching about not getting the ball, dropped a few balls and alligator-armed others. You have to catch the ball if it hits you in the hands. Unacceptable. Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: CF DolFan on October 01, 2013, 01:29:15 pm Mike Wallace is the choice. Tannehill sucked but he also had moments of good play. Doesnt it really come down to the fact he is getting paid like an elite receiver? I mean, if you are being paid like one of the top players in the league then you should be expected to be a game changer. 4 games in and he hasn't been. Wallace, for all the bitching about not getting the ball, dropped a few balls and alligator-armed others. You have to catch the ball if it hits you in the hands. Unacceptable. Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: Brian Fein on October 01, 2013, 03:23:03 pm ^^ Not really, for me. I don't care what he's getting paid, I care about the role he's playing with the team. He's supposed to be our #1 WR, deep threat, go-to guy. So far, he's been outplayed by 2 other guys on the team. He's not pulling his weight or doing his part. We didn't sign him to be a decoy.
Worst part is, how many times does he drop the ball before Tannehill just stops looking his direction? Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: AZ Fins Fan 55 on October 01, 2013, 06:33:33 pm Wallace is my pick....too many drops on catchable balls that killed drives. You bitch because you want the ball so fucking catch it!!!!!!
Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: EKnight on October 01, 2013, 06:43:05 pm Hate to say I told you so with Wallace, but I did. He's the exact same player he was in Pitt for the past year and a half- 50 yards a game and bad hands.
OK, I actually don't hate saying I told you so. -EK Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: dolphins4life on October 01, 2013, 08:47:45 pm The reason I don't start game ball threads that quick is because I never celebrate a victory until the game is over
Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: Tenshot13 on October 01, 2013, 08:59:15 pm ^^^ but you'll start a SOTG before they lose?
...anyways, mine goes to Tannehill for obvious reasons. Title: Re: Shame of the Game - at Saints Post by: Guru-In-Vegas on October 02, 2013, 01:48:45 am Many considered.
Secondary was terrible. O-line was awful. Tannehill looked like a QB who's only played the position for 3 years (stared receivers down badly). Wallace and Hartline might as well just stayed home. And can somebody explain to me why Daniel Thomas is being rotated in when he's as shitty as he is? I don't think I've ever seen that guy touch the ball and do something impressive with it. Lamar Miller was having a nice game and in comes this turd to get tackled for losses more often than not. For the sake of picking one, let's go with the O-line. Can't expect a young QB to keep up with Brees when he's getting pummeled all game.
