I just saw a tweet from @miamidolphins that he is active but I don't know how much he'll contribute. Good news nonetheless.

Ravens without 2 WR's Jacoby Jones and Marlon Brown. Both inactive

Ow. Hopefully Ray Rice won't be another Sproles. The D should not be giving up big plays since the Ravens are shorthanded.

Wtf? A timeout on the 3rd play?

Title: Re: Live blog vs Baltimore
Post by: Cathal on October 06, 2013, 01:07:37 pm
Just horrible. Mike Sherman is a horrible play caller in short yardage and the team can't get an inch. Just pathetic.....

Ellerbe making a play.  Can we get Philip Wheeler off the fockin field! Here's hoping to an injury to Wheeler

The offense better show some competency this time.

How is this team 3-1? Wow...

I think he put his hand down out of bounds before the other foot came down.  Should get overturned.

Luckly review in favor of Tannehill.  Now pull your fockin head out of your ass

Aaaaaaannnnd the OL lets us down again.  I can see another 26-10 2008 Playoff game here.  Def will keep us in it and no OFF.

Short week/Monday night hangover early in this game for Miami. They are sleepwalking out there. Better keep it close early or else B'more will blow the Fins out before halftime.

Fins need a big play to WAKE UP!!!!!

Halfway through the 1st quarter and panic has set in for TDMMC posters lol.  You wouldn't  think the score was 3-0.

But don't you think after getting your ass whipped on MNF , the coaches and team would like to make statement in coming out in the 1st Q and play good ball?  They're not doing that.  You've watched enough MIA games to know the drill with this team.  Slow start = bad game and prob a loss

I hope I'm wrong and would love to be wrong.

Title: Re: Live blog vs Baltimore
Post by: MikeO on October 06, 2013, 01:32:29 pm
Reminds me of the Tennessee game last year where Miami was never in it and got destroyed. Looks like that type of game for the Fins

Title: Re: Live blog vs Baltimore

I can't remember the Dolphins having a schedule this tough

Title: Re: Live blog vs Baltimore
Post by: Cathal on October 06, 2013, 01:33:37 pm
I know it's only 3-0 but the D can't hold all game and now you have an almost INT by Tannehill, still can't get a 3rd and 1 inch, no first downs in three series, and a fumble. We aren't even out of the first quarter. Lol. There's a cause for concern.

Title: Re: Live blog vs Baltimore

I also saw a team get completely dominated by ATL and pull off a win because they stuck around. I'm not too worried this early in the game especially coming off a short week.

Yet again a big 3rd and long conversion.

Finally a positive play by the DEF and a fumble recovery by Ellerbe.  No Wheeler did not make the play, it was Soliai

Solia with a huge hit! Come on offense!

Combination there, bad pass by Tannehill and Wallace should hauled in that pass, it hit his hands.

really needed a TD there, but at least now it is tied

Sturgis is automatic

Title: Re: Live blog vs Baltimore
Post by: Cathal on October 06, 2013, 01:46:26 pm
I guess Miami didn't practice after Monday night. No one is on the same page and just look horrible. Fortunately, it looks like Baltimore didn't practice either. I mean, Gabbert has better stats than Tannehill.  :'(

Title: Re: Live blog vs Baltimore

Offense is so out of sync. Gotta get back to the short passing game with Gibson and Hartline. That is our bread and butter. IF they take that away its gonna be a long long day

About time to Wallace! Under thrown but got it to him.

Very nice back shoulder throw to Clay.  Good to see Tannehill make a nice  pass, hopefully give him confidence for the 2nd half.

Yeah he keeps under throwing Wallace... Tanny Boy is doing better with progressions today.  You can actually see him making an effort to go through them... he still stares plays side at times but he's learning.

Fock that's NOT pass interference.  Do the refs know what a PI is?  That ball is up for grabs for both players. Good play by Carroll.

Well, in the DEF's defense, Carroll is out, Wake and Ellerbe are out too, so that's huge.

But somebody, SOMEBODY take Phillip Wheeler out of this game!!!!!!!!!!

He sucks.  But boy, does he have nice flowing locks.

Title: Re: Live blog vs Baltimore
Post by: MikeO on October 06, 2013, 03:33:17 pm
No Ellerbee hurts. No Patterson, Carroll at less than 100%. The Back 7 on defense is hurting bad

Well 3-2 going into the bye week. Gotta get healthy and they CANNOT keep the same starting o-line group together. Bench somebody and get Nate Garner in there

Title: Re: Live blog vs Baltimore
Post by: Cathal on October 06, 2013, 03:37:26 pm
If the offense did their job then the defense could give up these points. Shame goes entirely to the offense and refs for giving the Ravens a TD.

Title: Re: Live blog vs Baltimore

Playcalling has been awful too. Not even trying to run the ball at all. They gave up on the run 5 min into the game

Is this the worst O-Line in the NFL? I am asking honestly here. I know the Giants have a bad one, but what do the deeper stats say? 6 sacks today and the last one came on a 4 man rush with the game on the line.

This team, even when healthy is not a championship contender, but the Line play gets worse by the week. Something has to change or we won't even match last year's record.

There was a ranking this week that after 4 games had Miami's o-line ranked 14th. PFF or ESPN or something did it. Don't know what they are smoking.

For the love of god play Nate Garner in one spot and maybe get someone else out there too....they can't be any worse!

14th? Our YPC is .08 and we lead the NFL in sacks allowed by a huge margin. Anything other than Bottom 5 is laughable.

Title: Re: Live blog vs Baltimore

Someone needs to go. Martin was getting bull-rushed all day and Clabo giving up sacks left and right. If the pocket holds we win this game, or at least tie with a FG. Sherman is also to blame but I'm tired of turnover at the coaching position. Just horrible play calling.

Title: Re: Live blog vs Baltimore

Miller has to get more than 7 carries. You can't give up on the running game in the 1st quarter. Even with the o-line sucking you can't just throw every down. Makes it too easy on the defense and actually makes it harder on the o-line.

I agree with you MikeO, the play calling made it easy on the Ravens defense.  Needed more running plays, or some screen passes, etc. even if they are only 3-4 yarders.  The one player that has improved and surprised me this year is Clay.  The Fins need to get him even more involved.

I've said this every week this season, they need to run more...  they are not committed to the run!  You hear them talk about it but they really aren't committed to it.  This line is horrible.. they need to find someway to make a trade for some offensive line help during the bye!

If they don't get line help soon... they're going to get Tanny hurt at some point this season!  He's been luckY he hasn't taken any monster shots yet, with this line it's not if, but when!

Totally in agreement with this.  Daniel Thomas got 2 carries which makes Miami's grand total 9 rushing attempts in a close game.  Unbelievable.

I think its pretty clear the OC doesn't have any faith in Miller or Thomas.  I don't understand what Thomas is still doing in the line-up; a couple years of miscellaneous injuries and now still nothing when he gets the ball.  You can't put all the blame on the O-line.  Where are all the RB's that can easily be plugged in that I'm always hearing about on this site???

Yes you can put ALL the blame on the o-line. They are beyond awful. It's not the RB's. It's all the o-line. They can't pass block or run block. NO RB would do much behind this group.

Totally in agreement here... what people have to understand is this.  We have a poor O line as it is.. add that none of our RB's or TE's are great blockers and you get epic fail!
