Title: NCAA Sanctions Miami Post by: Landshark on October 22, 2013, 11:24:50 am A loss of three scholarships per year over the next three years. No further bowl bans. A couple thoughts on this:
1. Miami got off easy because they had already undergone self imposed penalties and sat out of bowl games the past two seasons. Consider that "credit for time served" 2. The NCAA did this to save face because of the time and money put into an investigation where they broke their own rules. They had to go easy but had to do something. But I can live with the punishment handed down. Go Canes!

A lot of times, the NCAA will be more lenient if you work with them and self impose penalties. |
