Title: MIA-BUF ProFootballFocus Take on the Game
Post by: hordman on October 23, 2013, 07:51:34 am
I always find these evaluations interesting.

PFF and Salguero look back at Bills loss (http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/2013/10/pff-and-salguero-look-back-at-bills-loss.html)

Interesting to find that Tannehill's passer rating is 98.7 against the blitz. Against no blitz, he produced both interceptions and a 52.5 QB rating.

Obviously, Clabo graded out poorly, while the other OL had a good day.  Randy Starks continue to be a beast in the middle.  Also of note, Wake only got 22 snaps, which I knew he was limited , but not that low of a number.  Philbin felt he couldn't go 100% with the knee  and limited him.  Can't wait for him to back in the lineup full strength, he changes the game for sure.

FYI

So is one of the take aways that the Oline is less to blame for RT struggling when he did (or that RT is more to blame depending on your perspective)? Is that what they're getting at? -EK

ONE of the problems with Tannehill is that he's facing defenses that don't respect the deep or even intermediate routes. Even without help over the top, cornerbacks are jumping routes and generally covering underneath. The only reason defenses can get away with that crap is that Tannehill very rarely has enough time for anything but a quick throw.

Other teams also don't need to bring the heat. Clabo will let a guy run by unblocked just fine 1 on 1 ;)
