Title: I don't get you people
Post by: dolphins4life on October 27, 2013, 05:33:36 pm
All this talk about Tannehill, the Oline, the coaches, everything else......................

I am going on one of my little rants here, be forewarned:

THE REFS COST THE DOLPHINS THAT GAME TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!   THEY WOULD HAVE MADE SURE THE PATRIOTS WOULD HAVE WON NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   STOP LOOKING AT THE TEAM FOR THE REASON OF THIS LOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  THEY PLAYED AGAINST THE PATRIOTS AND THE REFS AND NEARLY PULLED IT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good team overcome bad calls...we are not there yet..period!

OLINE sucks.

QB still learning...mediocre at times.

Mistakes galore...missed FG, terrible play calling in the 2nd half...

The refs did not help, but we are still a long ways away from being legitimate contenders.

Seriously, the Pats are missing their 2 best defenders..Wilfork and Mayo...we needed to take advantage of this and simply failed!

The refs definitely made some game changing calls...you can't deny that. But you can't go out and score zero points in the second half of a football and expect to win.

Amateurs blame referees for losses. Did you always use the dog ate my homework as an excuse too?

No because it never happened.  But if it had happened, I would have used it and it would have been true

I agree with OP.  Yes, we didn't do much to help ourselves in the 2nd half, but we shouldn't have to.  You just can't overcome three game-changing calls like that, resulting in scoring.  We did what we could early to secure the game -- it was taken from us.

I don't feel like this was a team collapse.  Yes, we missed some opportunities, missed a kick, dropped some balls, etc. -- but every time we got any momentum or made a big stop, the Pats were bailed out.  We got no chance to get in rhythm.  Also, we are not a great team.  We are an OK team that can't overcome this kind of stuff.

All this crap about "good teams overcome this" is bullshit.  Good teams get these calls.  The Pats didn't overcome anything.  They were gifted this win.  It's embarrassing and disheartening.
