I got my undergrad degree from FIU (currently 1-7 and their only win was by one point over Southern Miss) and my grad school degree is from FAU (currently 3-6). ;D

They play in a weak ACC which is having a down year and they escaped with many close wins early on this season vs lackluster teams. It finally caught up to them. This is not a surprising outcome.

I'd stop short of saying the ACC is weak this year. Florida State is contending for the national championship, and Clemson is right on their tail (this would've been reversed had Clemson beaten Florida State earlier this year). Boston College has really turned things around with Addazio at the helm. Despite losing a few games, Virginia Tech has dominated the stats, especially on defense. Syracuse and Pittsburgh are holding their own as new conference members and Louisville is arriving next year. Title: Re: Florida is bad! Post by: MikeO on November 17, 2013, 09:18:27 am Tough to say the ACC isn't having a down year when Duke....yes DUKE will play in the ACC Conference Championship game vs FSU. Duke is a perennial doormat in that conference and they are going to win their division.
NC State, Virginia, WF, and Maryland are bad teams. Pitt has 2 conference wins so far. It's FSU and Clemson and everyone else in the ACC. No balance at all in the ACC its having a down year |
