And I don't speak for everyone, but I think I do for most: Miami will never fool us again. We will never get our hopes up and think "This is the year" until we actually have a 83 point lead in the Superbowl with :05 to play. We have been burned too many times and no amount of signings or management changes will give us hope again until it is earned.

I know that sounds morbid, but it feels like a huge relief to not expect anything anymore. We can still be fans, but it wont feel so depressing when they start a season 0-5 because you just don't care as much anymore.

Right now I'm more concerned about finishing 0-8.  It's a very distinct possibility. 

No O-line.  No QB.  No RB.  No defense.  Horrible coaching.  I can't even say that our punter is even very good anymore.

I'm not even sure how one could defend those positions after tonight.

Sadly I didn't expect much from Miami tonight... we tend to lay eggs when the nation is watching! How many games do we have to watch Miami have a chance on their final possession... only to watch those chances die on back to back sacks?  

I still can't get over a team with a bad offensive line that waits for the defense to get set instead of using that to their benefit.  That last Int was under thrown to Wallace as usual but Wallace didn't help Tanny at all!  Elite receivers come back and go up for the ball at the highest point... not sit and watch the CB do what he should have been doing!

saying we will go 0-8 here on out is a bit much.

Yeah, 0-8 is VERY possible. You can't say we are better than anyone with a straight face, plus we are clearly spiraling down from every facet of the team.

I welcome 0-8. Really, what does 6-10 do? Just pushes us farther back in the draft.

Fair enough.  Technically, we can only go 0-7.  If we play like we did tonight, that is a very attainable goal.

The o-line sucks, Starks and Soliai sucked I don't care if either is re-signed. But saying everyone sucks and we will go winless is just silly

Why is winless silly? It may not be likely, but we aren't better than any team on the schedule. We have been trending downward since Week 4 and our already shitty O-Line just lost 2 starters due to mean texts. The players know they are being coached by a dead man and a dead GM.

Sure, we can win a game or two, but losing the next 7 is far from ridiculous.

It's silly because fans are overreacting to this game. Yes its a bad loss but it doesn't mean we won't win another game. It's like Colts fans after getting blown out at home to the friggin Rams throwing in the towel on their season. It's beyond silly talk. Not saying Miami will make the playoffs or even finish at .500...but to now just lose out. Please.

No one is saying that it WILL happen.  But it's very conceivable it could happen with the dearth of talent and coaching this team has displayed this season.  Indy, at least, has talented players and a division lead.
