This is the turning point here.

The turning point was when the half ended and Philbin didn't prepare his team for the adjustments Carolina would make. This happens every week.

And the RB who thinks he's a QB goes 3 and out.

Hopefully our defense gets a chance to rest since the offense may have stalled. They need to convert here and get a FG at least to put pressure on Newton.

We have almost an entire back-up O-line from training camp. Not surprised we can't run. They are pass blocking though pretty well. No RB is running in Miami this year. It's impossible. We could have AP, Charles, Ray Rice...doesn't matter...not running behind this group

I'm pleasantly surprised with the pass blocking. Yeah.

Someone here said it last week or so that we rushed 15 times one game and the RB was hit behind the line 12 of those times.

Honestly, just abandon the run altogether unless you need to kill the clock. It doesn't keep them honest, it just kills a down for us.

I saw that stat in the Miami Herald.  it was vs Tampa. I mean when your RB is hit in the backfield tough to blame them for lack of yards!

We can't run block, no RB will do anything with this o-line.

It's quite remarkable with all the OFF line woes that we are 5-5 and winning 16-13 in the 4th Qtr against a CAR front line that is pretty dominant.

It's a minor miracle that our QB hasn't been killed and we are doing anything on offense vs any defense

Guys really, we are playing for draft position here. What is an 8-8 Wild Card playoff spot going to do for us other than get us massacred by 63 points in Kansas City? Not saying cheer for them to lose out, but look at the bigger picture and don't be so upset when they do things like this.

Joe Philbin and staff are terrible. Just terrible. They cannot make any adjustments. They can prepare with a week's time, but they just cannot make adjustments and it cost us another victory.

you're right, CAR has better players and prob to some degree better coached.  Our OL is decimated, no deep threat (unless you call over-throwing or under-throwing Wallace) and no running game.

Then explain the first half when we dominated them. The team with better players usually wins, the team with better players AND coaching always wins. Philbin was just outcoached by Ron Rivera. Time for him to go and hit reset YET AGAIN.

Thank God for Arsenal. Let's all start a soccer messageboard so that we aren't all depressed during the NFL season. If our teams win on Saturday, we won't be too upset come Sunday.

Carolina was primed for screens yet we didn't throw any... I keep saying this week in and week out.  It's funny we have success when we do run them but hardly run them.  I thought Sherman was going to be a good OC but he's not anywhere near where I thought he'd be. He doesn't use many of the West Coast Offense staple plays or concepts... not sure we're actually running a WCO!

I think you may be right.  Maybe in Sherman's mind, he is, who knows.  The OFF has no identity, opposing DEF can easily defend, etc.  Very frustrating.  If we had a strong OFF line, things prob would be different.

Our O line is bad but there are many types of screens... There are WR,HB, Middle, Now, Jail break screens etc... not all depend on your offensive line.  We don't even run many slants.. another WCO staple. Montana and the Niners would slant and screen defenses to death!
