Peyton can't play in the cold. Sad part is they will have homefield for the playoffs....in the cold (or the Pats will and he is forced to play there in the cold). And the Super Bowl is in NYC...in the cold!!

I still think a Superbowl up here is a terrible idea, not to mention that Metlife Stadium is one of the biggest pieces of shit in the league. $1.8 Billion to build an exact replica of the old stadium that looks like an IRS building from the outside. Regardless if Denver wins tonight, it was shown again tonight in the cold and bad weather it takes Peyton from all world QB to just a very good QB. He's not the same player in the cold. We have seen it time and time again in his career, when the weather goes cold Peyton isn't the same. Expecting Peyton to win 2 playoff games in cold Denver in January and then the Super Bowl in the cold in NYC is asking alot. Not impossible but it will be difficult for him. He can't play in the cold

It only matters for Miami if there is an Earthquake and both tams get swallowed up into the Earth. Even then, no playoffs for us, I just like seeing the Patriots lose.

Cause that worked so well  for Romeo Crennel,  Al Groh,  Josh McDaniels,  Eric Mangini, Nick Saban, &  Jim Schwartz.  The entire Bill Belichick coaching tree has made it to the playoffs twice and went one and done each time.

No, but he wasn't all that responsible for the team jumping off to a great lead either.   That was the Denver defense (and NE offense)


He had TWO shots in OT.  In fact he could have won the game without NE touching the ball in OT.  The turnover prevented his 3rd shot.

Yup.  Denver is not a good home for him.  He is better off in a dome.

Brady may very well be the greatest bad weather QB to ever play the game.

Actually I think playing in Denver will help Peyton in his quest for another SB ring.  He will get used to playing in the cold, so if the Bronco's are on the road in a cold stadium he will be more acclimated to it.

He's been in the league for 15 or so years, if he ain't used to the cold by now it isn't ever happening. He only has a couple years left playing

Agree.  His best path to the superbowl is in a dome, win enough regular season games to force the playoffs into his home dome. 

And with this years SB in NYC....if they make it to the game, they will be a favorite vs most likely any NFC team. But the spread won't be a big number. That line will reflect the fact Peyton in the Cold isn't a dominate QB like he is in warm weather or indoors

Look at some of his cold weather games. 

In 2002, he was playing with a below average team.

In 2003, he did play awful.

Like in 2004, he never had a chance because his defense couldn't get off the field or stop the Patriots running game and his teammates coughed up two fumbles.

Last year, he had the team in position to win, but his defense could not play prevent defense.

I think I remember a stat from last weekend that Peyton's QB rating in the playoffs is HIGHER than Brady's

His receivers dropped a couple of passes that did not help last night either.

I don't doubt that. 

But I also remember at one point.

Brady's QB rating outdoors higher than Peyton.
Brady's QB rating indoors higher than Peyton.
But Peyton's overall QB rating being higher.    (BTW this is refered to as the Simpson's paradox)

Because both were better indoors than outdoors and Peyton played more indoor games than outdoor games. 

Brady has played more playoff games in bad weather than Peyton has. 

Hey, remember when Brett Favre "couldn't play in a dome"?  He seemed to do pretty well when playing his home games in the Metrodome in 2009.

Peyton has lost to the Patriots indoors and outdoors.  Let's not insert reasons that are unnecessary.

There is absolutely no logic to that. 

Every single QB plays better in a dome than outdoors, and every QB plays better in nice weather than in bad weather.  Some QBs have a larger delta than other. 

Favre's divisional losses at DET and MIN created the perception that Favre was bad in domes, just like Peyton's losses at NE have created the perception that he is bad outdoors.
