Title: Ted Wells Report Post by: MikeO on December 10, 2013, 06:27:23 pm Adam Schefter reporting tonight that it won't be completed till after the season.
Title: Re: Ted Wells Report Post by: fyo on December 10, 2013, 06:32:15 pm My initial reaction was disappointment, but upon reflection, it does minimize the risk of serious disruption while the Dolphins are still in play for a Wild Card slot. On the other hand, it would be nice to get some closure and just move on.

On the other hand, it would be nice to get some closure and just move on. Wells is still interviewing players in Miami all this week. I bet with Miami in the playoff hunt the NFL doesn't want to release anything till the Fins season is officially over. Not to create a circus around the team with 3 games to play who has a shot at the playoffs. Title: Re: Ted Wells Report Post by: fyo on December 11, 2013, 07:44:59 am Wells just cancelled all follow-up interviews with Incognito and the rest of the O-line. No explanation given.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000296481/article/ted-wells-cancels-second-visits-with-incognito-other-dolphins Modified to add a Twitter report by Darlington: "While no explanation was given to players for reason behind Wells’ cancellations, it was made clear that it was result of meeting w/ Martin." https://twitter.com/JeffDarlington/status/410552434830745601 Title: Re: Ted Wells Report Post by: CF DolFan on December 11, 2013, 08:30:50 am Meanwhile, Courtney Fallon of NBC 6 in Miami reports that Martin “isn’t turning over text messages to Ted Wells,” and that Martin won’t meet with the NFLPA investigator who is reviewing the situation.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/12/11/report-ted-wells-cancels-follow-up-meetings-in-miami/ It looks as if they didn't find he was "bullied" as much as participated and then exaggerated everything as an excuse for not being able to handle the pressure of sucking. Obviously we will have to wait for everything to come out but when he left and was still communicating with the bully about how things were going on both ends it didn't seem to me that Richie was what he feared. I'm guessing after leaving the team his fear of failure was replaced by the fear of mommy and so the blame game got out of control. I mean really ... other than Ndamukong Suh who better to use as a scapegoat than Incognito? Title: Re: Ted Wells Report Post by: Phishfan on December 11, 2013, 09:24:06 am Wow.
Title: Re: Ted Wells Report Post by: MikeO on December 11, 2013, 09:31:26 am Martin not turning over the texts is a red flag for his case. Not good. What is he hiding?
Title: Re: Ted Wells Report Post by: Pappy13 on December 11, 2013, 11:59:21 am When does the "Bring back Richie Incognito" rally begin? I'd like to attend. :)
Title: Re: Ted Wells Report Post by: AZ Fins Fan 55 on December 11, 2013, 12:44:27 pm I kinda figured this whole bullying thing was a major crock of shit when the story broke. If it turns out Martin lied or used Richie as a scapegoat that just sucks. The dude already shaky rep takes a major blow and he loses out on playing for about half a season and maybe a chance at the playoffs.
Title: Re: Ted Wells Report Post by: EDGECRUSHER on December 11, 2013, 07:52:58 pm Richie should sue Martin for defamation of character. I would like it if Miami brought him back, everyone seemed to like him despite the fact that he is a loud idiot.
If Martin isn't turning over texts or cooperating, that means he is hiding something or he just has nothing to show. If he wanted to come back to the NFL, it would be interesting to see if Goodell throws a suspension his way. Title: Re: Ted Wells Report Post by: MikeO on December 15, 2013, 10:00:58 am Dolphins have a decision on Richie tomorrow.
-CUT him -Activate him (doesn't mean he would be active for games, but he could be in the lockerroom and around the team) -Or come to an agreement with him and his agent to pay him in full for the final 2 games to keep the suspension going Reports are Miami is working on the agreement to keep the suspension going and will pay him in full for the final 2 games of the year |
