Title: Tannehill not hit as often as you'd think Post by: fyo on December 22, 2013, 12:05:22 pm The incredible number of sacks Tannehill has taken this season has naturally caused a lot of concern, but it turns out that if you look at all the times a quarterback is hit or sacked (defined as either sacked or knocked down after pass), he isn't the most punished quarterback in the league.
Tannehill leads the league with 53 sacks, but has "only" been knocked down 36 additional times. Andrew Luck has absorbed by far the greatest number of sacks/hits with 78 knock downs after passes and 31 sacks. Thankfully, everyone and their mother knows how badly Miami needs O-line help, so we're pretty sure to use an early draft pick or two, plus some of that cap space to address the issue. He might be the best o-linmen we have right now after Pouncey. He is playing lights out
