I am just trying to figure out the worst scenario for fans, and that will be the one Miami delivers. Losing 31-10 at home to end the season tied with the Jets or winning the game but missing the playoffs anyway? What would crush our souls more?

If they win the game and go 9-7 but miss the playoffs it sucks but I can live with it. 2 game improvement over last year. QB is now a stable position with this franchise for years to come (when was the last time the QB position was a stable position for the Fins). There was growth from year 1 to year 2 with our coach and QB and the pieces are in place going forward at key spots.  I mean even if Miami makes the playoffs, do you think they are winning it all? Of course not. So a win today means a lot. Making the playoffs would be nice but even at 9-7 with no playoffs I can still see a lot of positive going forward not to mention  ending the season going 4-1 in December.

A loss today would sting no way to spin it.

I can see the improvement too with a win, but we didn't improve in 2 crucial spots:

1) Our O-Line is still beyond terrible. We need 4 new guys, 5 if Pouncey goes to jail for the Hernandez thing. We have no backups or prospects or anything, 4 brand new guys are needed.

2) We still lose games we have no right to lose. This to me, is the worst because it is mental and bad coaching. You can't ignore the 2nd half collapses and consistent outcoaching by the other team. That stuff won't be fixed with free agents.

QB appears to be stable for now unless the O-Line kills him. We will be in trouble though if we don't resign Grimes and probably get another corner because the 2013 Draftees appear to be useless.

Save it all ya want, Philbin isn't getting fired. They could lose 40-0....he isn't getting fired. At most Ireland (one guy) gets canned and they replace him in house with Aponte or Gaine. Not the multiple careers hanging in the balance and the "drama queen/over the top" proclamations you are making.

It's silly. Maybe one guy gets fired and odds are he doesn't even if they lose.

Tanny needs about 300 for 4,000 yards on the season too. To think, we can have a QB over 4,000 yards and 2 receivers over 1,000 yards and still be ranked as the 28th best offense.

Tanny and Wallace really need to find a rhythm together this offseason. It is always under or over for Wallace.

How long have I been fockin screaming this?  I turned to my boy and told him to write down that the 1st play I've seen him make in many months, and then they showed the flag and called holding on him and I laughed out loud.  Told my boy to put the paper and pen away.

Yeah, if anything last week killed all positivity. Even if we made the playoffs, no one would be confident despite the fact we would play one of the 2 teams we already beat.

I cannot describe the bitterness a loss to the Jets to close out the season would reap within my soul.  I don't care about the playoffs.  I just do not want to endure the pain of an entire offseason following this potential embarrassment.

What embarrassment? Losing back to back games against bad teams when your season hangs in the balance isn't so bad if you're Miami. You just get used to it after awhile. We'll make some moves in the offseason, get way too excited about the draft and "look for improvement".

Look on the bright side, we signed Mike Wallace, Brent Grimes, drafted #3 overall and we improved by one whole game!!!

That is some bad tackling right there. Smith scrambles for like 17 yards or something.  Where is the pass rush?  Cam Wake has disappeared the last 3-4 weeks.  No one else stepping up in his absence.  Very disappointing.

I concur with that.  That means your not coaching the team to it's potential and allowing lesser teams to beat you.

I actually thought that was good defense, Wallace has a bad habit of not going up and getting the ball.  He waited for the ball to drop in his arms.  Wehn you have a defender on you like that, you have to fight for the ball, Wallace rarely does that IMO

It was pass interference, you can't hit and hold the arms before the ball gets there. Even Dan Dierdorf agrees and he never goes against the refs.

No, the throw in the endzone was on target. Excellent throw actually. The INT throw would've been fine if Wallace didn't slip, allowing Milliner to get past him. Every throw looks awful when the receiver falls down.

What a disaster.  A gift wrapped playoff appearance by both the Bengals and Chiefs for sitting their starters.  Just had to beat two crappy teams to finish the season and enter the playoffs and they still manage to lose to both of them.  Managed to score 7 points in both games.  What a hysterical mess.  A goddamn playoff appearance would have made up for 10 years of shit.  Just the appearance... shutout by the Bills and beat up by the Jets.  

If you can't win the line of scrimmage its tough to win in this league.

I am pulling for them in the NFC. Hate the Niners. The Saints don't deserve anything because they can't play on the road. The Seahawks have an asshole coach and the most obnoxious fanbase in the league. The other teams aren't even worth mentioning.

I like Cam because he was a douchebag last year, admitted it and has worked hard to grow up, rather than blame others. Plus, Peter King hates him because he is racist and it would be great to shut that fat tub up with a Carolina Superbowl win.

What game did Dierdorf watch? Wanna know why Clay didn't catch a lot of passes, cause our o-line sucks and he stayed back to help block damn near 75% of the time. I mean the guy has the best seat in the house and he didn't see that all day?

This game was a complete and utter failure on the part of every single player and member of the coaching staff.

We DON'T DESERVE TO BE IN THE PLAYOFFS.  TANNEHILL SUCKS AND THE COACHING STAFF SUCKS.  SEE Y'ALL NEXT SEASON. MY OPINION.
