Title: Rex confirmed not-fired

I am happy to see Rex stay.  He keeps the Jets comfortably irrelevant, and (yesterday notwithstanding) he's generally more easily beaten than his predecessors.

The longer sexy rexy stays as the HC for the jets the happier i am as a dolphins fan.

Rex got a 1 year extension, basically same scenario as this year.

Jets go 8-8 and they dump Gatorade on their coach. Miami goes 8-8 and they are about to fire everyone. At least we can take solace in the fact that the Jets are goddamn stupid.

NYJ went 8-8 with two meaningless wins to end the season, while MIA went 8-8 with two playoff-qualifying losses (to BAD teams!) to end the season.  That's why the Jets' coach is getting drenched in Gatorade when the Dolphins' coach is drenched in his own cold sweat.
