Title: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Post by: SCFinfan on November 04, 2014, 06:36:09 pm Jerry Rice is saying Harbaugh is leaving.

Some of the comments are indicating Rex Ryan? That would be... interesting. Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Post by: Sunstroke on November 04, 2014, 06:52:32 pm I've spoken with inside sources (they weren't outside at the time) who have overheard people close to the organization (possibly the hot dog vendor 2 blocks from the stadium), and they believe the list of potential head coaches to replace Coach Harbaugh, once Harbaugh leaves to join the Romanian circus, will possibly include the following people: * Denzel Washington: Praised for getting white and black football players to get along in the locker room at T.C. Williams High School, the Remember the Titans star is a perfect choice to soothe the turmoil within the 49ers organization. * Dave Gray: After successfully managing TDMMC to multiple Dolphins Chat Board Championships, Mr. Gray is a natural choice to lead the 49ers quest for their sixth Super Bowl. * Bill Walsh: Sure, he may be currently deceased, but the 49ers legend could be revived through a voodoo ritual to continue his dominant run as an NFL head coach. * Traian Basecu: Expected to step down from his current position as President of Romania in protest over Harbaugh's joining their national circus. I usually agree with you Stroke, but I have to disagree with a couple of your inside sources possible new HC's. First off there is no chance Denzel Washington will come to San Francisco. More likely it would be Mathew "allright, allright allright" McConaughey. Washington's jump from High School football to the NFL is just too big of a leap, whereas McConaughey's rebuilding of Marshall's college program is more inspiring. Secondly, there is a better chance of locating Ted Williams' cryogenical frozen skull, than propping up Bill Walsh on the sidelines. Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Sometimes you've got to go back to actually move forward... ;) Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Post by: MikeO on November 16, 2014, 12:33:31 pm Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting Harbaugh won't leave west coast and is off the Dolphins radar. Plus Ross would rather have Harbaugh at Michigan than Miami
Jim Harbaugh is no longer on the #Dolphins radar in unlikely event Philbin is fired. His wife wants to stay in the Bay Area. Hello #Raiders For #Michigan fans curious about Jim Harbaugh: Booster Stephen Ross is much more interested in him at U-M than with #Dolphins https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/534030208052232194 https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/534033726335107072 Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Post by: MikeO on November 16, 2014, 05:48:01 pm ^^^ Well heck, if it's in a tweet, it has to be real... ::) Tweet from a respected NFL reporter. I know you are the last person on earth who is clinging to the fact Harbaugh is staying in SF. But everyone on ESPN, FOX, NFLN, NBC is reporting else wise. Might go with them over you on this one You can go to NFL.com and watch video of his report so you can see the words come out of his mouth since a tweet isn't good enough for you Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? But everyone on ESPN, FOX, NFLN, NBC is reporting else wise. Might go with them over you on this one I'm just going to go with "If it happens, it happens, and until it does, I'm not buying it." Including the current rumor, there have been 173 different "Harbaugh is leaving" rumors since he arrived in SF. The first 172 have been wrong. Hey, if you keep betting on those rumors though, eventually one of them is going to pan out for ya... Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Post by: masterfins on November 17, 2014, 12:32:21 pm ^^^ C'mon, MikeO always leaves himself an out. If you read his post careful he said he "Might go with them over you" So, if it happens its "see I told ya", and if it doesn't, then it's "I didn't say it was gonna happen, I said it "might" happen.

Here's why. Years back, when Rich Rodriguez got canned, Michigan was set to hire Les Miles but LSU countered with a lucrative extension. They then set their sights on Harbaugh and all but had a deal in place, until Harbaugh made a comment that Michigan was always picking up convicts and undesirable players that would've never been allowed on campus in the Bo Schembechler days when he played. That really pissed off some big name boosters who quashed the hiring. Apparently those boosters have long memories. Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Per Adam Schefter the Raiders and Jets are showing interest in Harbaugh. If Jim won't move off the east coast I think the Jets are wasting their time. Especially when he has a spot in Miami any time he wants it. But maybe the big city of New York could draw Jim to the east coast Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Post by: MikeO on December 07, 2014, 07:23:05 pm Stick a fork in Harbaugh and the 49ers. 49ers season ended today and Harbaugh is a goner
Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Post by: Sunstroke on December 07, 2014, 07:29:55 pm As long as Harbaugh takes Greg Roman with him, I'd probably be OK with it at this point. A retarded 6 year old child could come up with better offensive game plans than Roman... I hope Miami squeaks into the playoffs...I'd hate to have nobody at all to cheer for in the postseason. Fins are done. 49ers are done. Miami TV station reporting its Raiders or Fins for Harbaugh. Those are his only 2 options as he isn't serious about going to the Jets. Miami is a better team and he will have an owner who will worship him but if he doesn't want to leave California then he takes the Raiders job Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Post by: Cathal on December 07, 2014, 08:02:50 pm The Fins are done. Too many injuries, a horrible O-Line, bad play-calling, dink-and-dunk offense, no explosive plays, a defense that fails at critical times, and on and on and on. At this point, we should just root for the best teams who can beat the Pats.

Walt Akins is starting at Safety next week...nuff said O-line.....Albert OUT. Dallas Thomas SUCKS. Colledge can't play a lick. The o-line is shot for Miami. Throw in Misi playing half speed with a bad hamstring now and Jenkins now hurt who knows his status. The Fins are throwing out a bunch of scrubs. The team is done. They have nothing left. Nobody left. Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Title: Re: Who will be the next 49ers Head Coach? Post by: Phishfan on December 08, 2014, 02:50:58 pm We already have a thread about Philbin's job status. This thread is about Harbaugh. Let's keep it on track or I'm closing this. Don't need two threads on Philbin's status.
