Very sad news...probably my favorite Sportscenter anchor ever.

Probably too soon, but by now, he's probably cooler than the other side of the pillow.

I had to look for it but I found it. Obviously one of the greatest to grace our tv sets but I loved his response to a question posed about Tim Tebow's eye black!

ESPN did a really nice tribute to him last night during the 11:00 SportsCenter. 

I'll never forget the time I went to ESPN the Weekend at (what was then) MGM Studios at Disney World, and Stuart Scott did a 30-minute segment with the crowd on the importance of adding "flair" to the sportscast.  The guy was a true pro and a class act.  Will be missed...

Call him butter, cuz he's on a roll.....

I liked Scott and what he did for ESPN.  I didn't even know he was sick.

I didn't care for his schtick at all. Had no idea he was sick. Way too young to go. Godspeed to him.

I can't believe you guys didn't know about his fight with cancer. I thought it was widely known as it had been talked about on ESPN quite a bit and it covered several years. Scott gave a pretty impressive speech this past year as part of the Jimmy V awards.

He received the Jimmy V perseverance award at the Espy's and made a hell of a speech.  If you haven't seen his speech, I recommend you go watch it at the soonest.

Shows ya how many people (even die hard sports fans) watch ESPN.

I knew about his illness but I never watch ESPN programming (except for actual games.) ESPN has turned into a joke. Unless its a live game, I got no reason to watch SportsCenter or any of their other talking head shows. Those ESPN shows have turned into Romper Room and they cater to the lowest common denominator in our society

I watch both Around the Horn and PTI, but rarely do I watch Sportscenter.

Around the Horn & PTI also. SportsCenter is watched only while still in a bar for the evening and then it doesn't have sound. I also watch the Sunday and Saturday morning pre-games on ESPN.

At this point, I pretty much only watch the college football/hoops games on ESPN and the occasional college sports-specific talk shows. If I want to watch a talk show about football, I usually go to the NFL Network and get some deeper stats/analysis. Same with the NBA and NBA Network, MLB and MLB Network, etc...

I rarely watch ESPN unless its for live sports, and even then usually only Monday Night Football.  But Stuart Scott's illnesses have been going on for years and have been well documented and talked about frequently, more than just on ESPN.
