Title: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: MikeO on April 01, 2015, 12:31:13 pm http://www.nj.com/eagles/index.ssf/2015/03/what_could_eagles_get_from_miami_dolphins_for_bran.html
The rumor that will never die as long as Chip Kelly is in Philly. Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: Dave Gray on April 01, 2015, 12:39:45 pm Are there teeth to this rumor or is it just media bullcrap?
Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: Sunstroke on April 01, 2015, 12:46:05 pm Media bullcrap... Look at the way the article is laid out, and it is pretty clear that the author is just looking at possibilities for getting something in return for a nickel corner that he thinks the team should get rid of. Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: MikeO on April 01, 2015, 12:48:18 pm actually Omar Kelly was spouting this rumor and a few people who don't know Omar and his "reputation" took it seriously and ran with it

Which bull's asshole it squeezed out of is irrelevant. Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: MikeO on April 24, 2015, 02:41:32 pm Fins press conference today and it was insinuated that Jordan won't be on this team come September. Does that mean they trade him next week or is he cut flat out at some point between now and September. Dion wasn't at the workouts this week and it is now being reported he was told to stay away (so no risk of him injuring himself in any way so they can potentially trade him next week). Dion and his agent might be leaking info too it seems like per reports.
Hickey and Tannenbaum answered everything today on all topics, but when it came to Jordan they tap danced around all of those questions. I have no idea how they move him with that contract honestly and the cap hit they take...but maybe they have a way to make it work and fit it into the Salary Cap. Should be interesting to see in the coming months. Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: Sunstroke on April 24, 2015, 02:53:36 pm Everyone keeps mocking Dion Jordan 2.0 (Arik Armstead) to my beloved 49ers, and every time I see it, I just cringe inside... Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: Spider-Dan on April 24, 2015, 02:59:04 pm Why does it feel like Jordan will be traded to PHI for Tannenbaum's one-time prodigy, the Sanchize?
Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: Tenshot13 on April 24, 2015, 03:05:48 pm Why does it feel like Jordan will be traded to PHI for Tannenbaum's one-time prodigy, the Sanchize? God I hope not. If anything, I would think it would be that guard the been trying to deal. Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: MikeO on April 24, 2015, 03:10:17 pm Why does it feel like Jordan will be traded to PHI for Tannenbaum's one-time prodigy, the Sanchize? No chance that happens. They just re-signed Sanchez and Miami just gave Moore a deal. IF he is traded it will be for a conditional 5th rounder or something probably Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: MikeO on April 24, 2015, 03:11:36 pm God I hope not. If anything, I would think it would be that guard the been trying to deal. I would do that and all fans would do that. But the Fins probably don't want to pay Mathis $6 mill or so this year and be on the hook for his contract next year. Plus he is older and aside from Jennings they have avoided all guys over 30 and paying them anything decent. They can cut him after this season with ZERO dead cap. Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: masterfins on April 24, 2015, 04:18:27 pm I could see Jordan part of a trade on draft day to move up some spots.
Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: MikeO on April 24, 2015, 06:00:27 pm If Tannenbaum found way to trade Ellerbee and Wallace I am sure he can find some team to give up something, anything for Dion Jordan!
Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: MikeO on April 24, 2015, 09:22:22 pm Hearing tonight that Jordan's suspension last year voided out some guaranteed money in his deal in 2015 and 2016....so it is easier to cut him
Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: EDGECRUSHER on April 24, 2015, 10:01:21 pm Dion was a no-show for the start of the offseason program on Monday, no reason was given to the media. Today, Tannenbaum had this to say when asked about it "If someone choses not to be here, that's their decision".
No other way to read that other than "Fuck that kid". I think we all have given Dion a chance to succeed, considering his talent and where he was drafted, but he is just a bust. Injuries and suspensions and poor play and now this shit. We don't want him and the Eagles don't want Mathis, time to make a trade. Barring that, 5th rounder for him sounds fine to me. Considering what the stupid Eagles just gave up for Bradford, we can maybe even get a 3rd rounder. Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: EDGECRUSHER on April 27, 2015, 06:03:39 pm Philly may just end up cutting him. For some reason Chip Kelly hates him even though he is excellent.
Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: hordman on April 28, 2015, 07:45:05 am This was the perfect storm of where Jordan was drafted, talking heads who grossly over-exaggerated his abilities and a dumbass GM who traded up to get him with the 3rd pick.
Fock that was such a bad pick, it even sound horrible when they announced on the loud speaker on draft day. Philly please offer us some compensation for him so we can move past this disaster. Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: Phishfan on April 28, 2015, 01:14:05 pm Jordan isn't going to play for anyone. He failed another drug test and is suspended for the year. Maybe that's why he wasn't working out.
Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: Tenshot13 on April 28, 2015, 01:19:10 pm Cut him...freaking garbage and a waste of talent.
Title: Re: Dion Jordan to Philly talk....again Post by: Dolarltexas on April 28, 2015, 11:26:37 pm Honestly, I never saw him display any talent for him to waste. I hated this trade from day one. Send him packing!
