Title: Overreaction: This is the best I've ever seen a Dolphins defense.
Post by: Dave Gray on August 31, 2015, 09:06:44 pm
Looking at our offense starters vs. Atlanta, I can't ever remembers seeing as dominant a defense as this on the Dolphins since...ever.

The front 4 gets incredible push on every play.  Even when things didn't go well, like we got penalties, the rest of the line is getting push.  It's pretty incredible.

I've said that I think we're about a 9 win team prior to seeing this, but controlling the line of scrimmage like this will win you a lot of games.  I'm excited.

First 6 games of the year the Fins defenses faces  Cousins, Bortles, Taylor, Fitzpatrick, Mariota, and Hoyer

A "GREAT" Defense eats those QB"s alive. We will know real quick how good this defense is. Struggle vs those pieces of crap at QB and its gonna be a real long season

This is not surprising at all...   ;)

I am absolutely stoked about Suh's signing, nut-stomping and all, and think Miami has the potential of building the best D-line in the game.

It is distinctly possible that the player Miami signed, Ndamukong Suh, could be the most talented defensive player that has ever worn a Miami Dolphins uniform. Go ahead, let that sink in for a second. Don't get me wrong, I loved Jason Taylor...he's my all-time favorite Phin, but Suh might be even better than that. He is a physical freak that dominates offensive lines, despite the fact that he is double-teamed on virtually every snap. He single-handedly made Detroit the league's best run defense last season.

I think you might be underestimating the impact that Ndamukong Suh will have on Miami's front-7. Outside of JJ Watt, I can't think of another defensive player who has more of a positive effect on a defensive unit. He really was the single most important reason that Detroit had the #1 rush defense in the league last year.

At the risk of repeating myself for the 17th-ish time, I believe people are severely underestimating the positive effect that Ndamukong Suh will have on Miami's defense.

It's the best defensive line for sure. We will have to see how that plays out over an entire game as there are too many other variables to consider.

Modified to add .. I think Bortles will be a good QB in this league and has already gotten better.

Our safeties and linebackers are going to be tested this year.  We're going to see a lot of stuff thrown into the flats and screen passes to avoid the rush.  These guys are going to have to learn to tackle in the open field.
