Title: Rishard Matthews
Post by: hordman on September 27, 2015, 09:57:43 pm
Hats off to Rishard Matthews who turned in another nice game with the 113 yds and 2 TDs, albeit it didn't effect the outcome of the game.

Having said that, I find it quite ironic, that this front office in its infinite wisdom, pretty much was passive agressive with this kid in the Winter by going out and trading a pick for Kenny Stills, signing Greg Jennings and of course making DeVante Parker the 1st pick of the 2015 draft.

Of course Matthews was pissed and wanted traded, but he has gone out busted his ass in camp, played well in the preseason and it's translated well into the start of the season.

Right now, he's the Dolphins only legitimate deep threat, though Parker could challenge him for that.

All this says ALOT about this organization was a whole. You didn't even know what you had and you were willing to go and start anew while giving up a draft pick.

They need to clean house.  If Philbin loses next week in London, you can forget about the plane ride back.  He's gone.

He's ended the last 2 seasons INACTIVE for games because of his immaturity and breaking numerous teams rules. He can't be trusted. Only reason he is playing hard now is because he is in a contract year.  He has the "typical NFL attitude"

Glad he is playing well but he is very immature

plus those touchdowns were against a disinterested defense

My overall point is that the folks making the decision for MIA have no idea what they are doing.  Regardless if Matthew is immature or not is a moot point.  He is making catches and plays down the field, while off-season moves are whiffing.   That is the bigger issue.

Yea, but you can't fault him for that. He had an incompetant boob coach.  How many players did Philbin get rid of because he couldn't coach them? Somebody should make a list.

Exactly.  But I will take what I can get from the guy at this point.
