Title: Shame of the Game - Jets
Post by: Dolphin-UK on October 04, 2015, 03:48:27 pm
OK so from where I was sat the defence was being manhandled all day, there was little to no pressure on passing plays and there were huge holes in the running game. I felt that the offensive problems were the same as ever but the defense gave up too much too early and put it out of reach.

I can't tell if the holes were the D-line being manhandled or the LBs missing their gap assignments but the failure to adjust until it was too late puts it on the head of Kevin Coyle.

Joe Philbin.  Once again this team was not prepared.  They were completely outplayed on both sides of the ball.  This team once again showed no emotion and played like they just didn't care.  If anyone wants to see how truly pathetic this team is, just watch how the Giants are dominating the Bills this week (the same Bills who hung 41 points on us last week).

Sooo many options.  I'm not even going to say Philbin or Coyle, that's too easy.

A) Lazor - how many times are you going to call a screen pass for a loss or no gain???  It really was a thing of beauty when just before halftime you ran the exact same play three times for zero yards; really shouldn't have punted and let you try running it a fourth time. ::) ::)

B) Jenkins - I like good sportsmanship, but when it's the third quarter and your team is down 27-7, and you've been having your ass ran over all day by the opposing teams RB's, DON'T help them get up when you finally manage to tackle one of them.

C) Stills - You finally make a nice long reception late in the fourth quarter along the sidelines, with time running down, and you don't step out of bounds???  Worse yet you make some grandstanding first down signal.  Really??  If you were on the Patriots you would have about .005% chance of ever seeing playing time again.

D) Grimes - Nice how you tripped over the NFL Shield painted on the grass, good cover up for being so outplayed by Marshall.

E) Jamil Douglas & James - It's simply amazing how Tanny wasn't knocked out today, the way the defense ran past you like you weren't even there.

F) Miami Assistants - The ones who were all happy, smiling and congratulatory shaking Bowles' hand after the game.  I guess you were just looking to lock up your next job.

And the winner is Lazor!!!

Philbin.

Everything trickles down from him. The team is never prepared and comes out flat. He must shoot sick puppies in the lockerroom before game time as a form of motivation because they don't give a shit from kickoff.

I was just watching highlights from the games and it's apprent to me that those gay looking jerseys are to blame. Man ... I really miss the old colors.  :-\

Lazor.  This team gained 266 yards of total offense.  They ran 50 plays and 44 were passes

How can you pick just one person?  This was a team failure, as usual.

I give mine to Philbin.

Philbin

Im gonna go with Hickey.  There is very little talent on the team. Trades Wallace for nothing even though there is really no salary cap benefit for the team and the terrible drafting he has been doing.

The talent level on this team is just fine. The coaching is abhorrent on both sides of the ball. Gotta give it to the top coach, Philbin.

Coaching sucks, but the talent level is FAR from fine. The O-line has 1 legit player (Pouncey) and another in Albert who isn't healthy. The rest suck. The defensive line aside from Suh sucks as well. OV is playing himself out of Miami and no way does he get a BIG deal from the Fins or any other team. Wake is washed up. Everyone else is just marginal. Shelby is decent but a "JAG."

The entire NFL is built on protecting the QB and getting to the opposing QB. Miami can't do either. Hence they will have a Top 4 or 5 draft pick next year

As the old and unhip guy I have to ask ... what is a JAG?

What's worse than having the marginal players you mentioned is their backs-ups are even worse. We have no depth at all on this team and no team stays completely healthy. Funny part is that the worse the team plays the more injuries that happen. *Looking at Grimes

JAG= Just Another Guy

Meaning an ordinary player, nothing special. Just a guy on the roster who if he is there great, if he isn't its no huge loss. An easily replaceable guy

I agree completely!  This actually spurred an argument between my wife and I.  I was livid when I saw this.  You know who should help pick up a teammate?  It ain't the opposing players.  This is not tee ball.

As far a SOG goes, gotta give it Philbin.  I can give it to him for that halftime interview alone.  He sounded like a complete moron who was watching his first game.  (Hopefully, winning this award will not weigh down the cardboard box full of his stuff he's got to carry out today.)

Gotta be Philbin.  I don't want to kick him when he's down, but we look terrible all around.

Who the hell is Spencer Paysinger?  And why is he in the game so much?  That guy is just plain awful.

I think the o-line coach is to blame.  Web site shows John Benton - don't know anything about him but I do know that they have zero answers to getting time for the QB to throw, can't open a running lane.  The offense is a dead duck, and it all starts with the front 5 dudes.

Giants LB last year. Special teams monster. He plays because Jenkins sucks and got injured yesterday and he is the primary back-up

Disagree about Jenkins, but if he got hurt, then fine.  I've seen #42 all over the field missing tackles and getting eaten alive by linemen.  Just doesn't seem like a very good player.
