Title: I need another reminder Post by: dolphins4life on October 26, 2016, 07:38:42 pm I just looked at Matt Moore's game logs for 2011
He went 6-6 and could have been 7-5 if the defense didn't choke away that big lead for the Patriots. He threw 16 tds and 9 interceptions in 12 games. His record is equal to Tannehill's best record as a starter for a full season. Prorating his interceptions to a full season equals twelve interceptions. Tannehill has never thrown fewer than 12 interceptions in a full season. This was with a weak team too. Did the Dolphins even consider making him the full time starter after the 2011? And every 2 years when he is a free agent no other team does either. 2011 was a loooooooooooooooooooooong time ago. Can't live in the past, Moore sucks! He sucked in Carolina. He sucked in Dallas. And aside from a couple games he mainly has sucked in Miami! Right, but as I said, that should inspire you to draft a QB at #1 and move forward with him, rather than sticking with someone at that level of performance, for whom there is no reason to believe there is any greater upside. Also, a light seemed to come on for Tannehill last week versus Buffalo, where he seemed far more aware of pressure and far more willing to move to evade it. The clutch throw to Landry on 3rd down late in the game was a great example. If Tannehill can get that part of his game squared away, you'll never have another thought about Matt Moore. But when you look at his career stat line vs Tannehill's career stat line it's worse in almost every category and better in none. He's even been sacked more often than Tannehill has been if you can believe that. There's absolutely no reason to believe Moore should be starting.
