Title: 49ers @ Fins Post by: stealth3ltt on November 27, 2016, 01:56:52 pm I hope miami's offensive line can hold up!!!
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 02:39:40 pm Turnover margin now 11-2 in the past five-plus games (including today's).
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: disappointedyearly on November 27, 2016, 02:54:52 pm They need to figure out how to stop that offense. The INT was great, but the 9ers had no problem getting down the field on their next possession.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Cathal on November 27, 2016, 02:55:03 pm I know it's any given Sunday and all of that but it's way too close for me. But they've been doing pretty good other than the 1st drive.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Cathal on November 27, 2016, 02:59:19 pm And just like that the offense is in the dumpster again. How do you RUIN such good field position to where you can't even kick a FG? They just find a way to do that.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: EDGECRUSHER on November 27, 2016, 03:05:06 pm The team goes as far as it's O-Line and holy shit have they been bad today. How many times has Ajayi been hit way behind the line of scrimmage today?
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: disappointedyearly on November 27, 2016, 03:05:36 pm That was good defense, now its time to get the offense back on track.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 03:05:46 pm And just like that the offense is in the dumpster again. How do you RUIN such good field position to where you can't even kick a FG? They just find a way to do that. Tannehill has to be aware that on 3rd and long, the opposing defense's knowing you have to pass, with three backup linemen in the game, and a sack's putting you in very difficult FG range, the ball either has to come out very quickly, or you have to move. Poor situational awareness. Basically cost the team three points, possibly. Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Cathal on November 27, 2016, 03:11:07 pm Here comes another Devante Parker catch call reversal. Dang.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Tenshot13 on November 27, 2016, 03:13:38 pm He's an NFL receiver, he needs to sell out and not try to brace himself with his hands.

Made up for it with the throw to Stills, however. ;D Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: disappointedyearly on November 27, 2016, 03:16:33 pm Stills wide open for a TD!
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 03:21:11 pm Very dominant defensive series there. Now is when Ajayi needs to get going.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: disappointedyearly on November 27, 2016, 03:24:58 pm Heavy dose of Ajayi and maybe Simms.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Run Ricky Run on November 27, 2016, 03:28:06 pm This is a good win.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: disappointedyearly on November 27, 2016, 03:29:04 pm That possession was exactly what we needed.
Defense needs to come out and force a punt. Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Cathal on November 27, 2016, 03:29:29 pm Awesome job! I'm glad that they have been able to pull away. If it was another 3 point win or 7 point win that would be a problem. I think they just dropped more points on the 49ers than the Pats, which is cool.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Tenshot13 on November 27, 2016, 03:29:33 pm Been waiting for Carroo to do something. Great play, keep the foot on the pedal.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 03:31:20 pm If this defense was "built to play with a lead," well now's the time. ;)
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 03:32:17 pm Dolphins 99.2% likely to win at this point.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 03:38:19 pm I don't like the conservative defensive call on 3rd and 12, up 17. My lord, so what if they burn a blitz for a TD. You're still up 10.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Cathal on November 27, 2016, 03:38:44 pm Man, this team never feels like they're going to win a game until no time remains. Even with a 17 point lead with 9 minutes left I still feel like it'll be a close game.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 03:40:11 pm Man, this team never feels like they're going to win a game until no time remains. Even with a 17 point lead with 9 minutes left I still feel like it'll be a close game. That's because you're emotionally invested in one of the teams. If you were watching two teams you didn't care about, you'd think the one up 31-17 had the game in the bag. ;) Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: disappointedyearly on November 27, 2016, 03:41:40 pm Let's put some more points on the board.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Cathal on November 27, 2016, 03:41:47 pm That's because you're emotionally invested in one of the teams. If you were watching two teams you didn't care about, you'd think the one up 31-17 had the game in the bag. ;) Oh, I'm aware. But when you're up by 17 and let the team get a TD in about a minute, you're thinking the other offense is starting to click. I know that's not objectively looking at data but there is a momentum swing that does happen. :) Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 03:45:00 pm Oh, I'm aware. I know that's not objectively looking at data but there is a momentum swing that does happen. :) Don't be surprised if Vegas is right, and the Dolphins win by about 7. It's uncanny how often that happens. Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Cathal on November 27, 2016, 03:53:29 pm See what I'm saying? 3 and out by the Dolphins and the 49ers are getting some good chunks of yards. At least the 49ers aren't really moving quickly. But the Fins should have gotten at least 1 first down to waste more than 90 seconds.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 03:56:27 pm See what I'm saying? 3 and out by the Dolphins and the 49ers are getting some good chunks of yards. At least the 49ers aren't really moving quickly. But the Fins should have gotten at least 1 first down to waste more than 90 seconds. The 49ers "know" they aren't supposed to lose to the Dolphins by 17, and I doubt the Dolphins think they're "supposed to" beat the 49ers by 17, so there is an expected surge of energy by the 49ers when the scoreboard reaches that point, with possible complacency on the Dolphins' part, as well. This is why Vegas is right so often. These teams "know" what's "supposed to" happen, based on the strength of the teams involved. Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 04:05:29 pm You'd hate to think what the Dolphins' record would be if they hadn't benefited from an 11-2 turnover margin the past six games.
The 10 points off of turnovers today is more than the difference in the game right now. Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 04:08:53 pm Missing linemen a problem here. Can't run Ajayi like you normally would at this time.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Run Ricky Run on November 27, 2016, 04:09:55 pm Wtf is this shit
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: disappointedyearly on November 27, 2016, 04:10:24 pm Now it comes down to the defense.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 04:10:40 pm Time for Wake and Suh and those folks to make their money.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: disappointedyearly on November 27, 2016, 04:12:16 pm Time for Wake and Suh and those folks to make their money. I have faith! Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: disappointedyearly on November 27, 2016, 04:14:09 pm He is going to run on this play, and he needs to get popped by a LB.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 04:15:16 pm Dolphins still 99% likely to win believe it or not.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 04:16:40 pm Dolphins still 99% likely to win believe it or not. That's now down to 87%. Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Run Ricky Run on November 27, 2016, 04:16:44 pm Up 17 in the 4th..
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 04:20:17 pm Guys. This team ain't that great. They've had an 11-2 turnover margin the last six games. 2 turnovers today account for 10 points, more than the difference in the game.
The Dolphins' being up 17 in the 4th should've been viewed as unexpected and not likely to persist. Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: disappointedyearly on November 27, 2016, 04:22:55 pm I'll take it!
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Run Ricky Run on November 27, 2016, 04:23:42 pm Jfc. A wins a win but this team is not as good as its record
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Cathal on November 27, 2016, 04:25:18 pm Just crap football in the 4th quarter. Offense can't get a couple first downs, and the defense almost folds. I know they aren't that good of a football team but still.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: disappointedyearly on November 27, 2016, 04:29:00 pm You guys are never going to be happy. It's a first year coach, and you act like you would prefer we had a 6 game losing streak.
We could have lost that game, but we didn't. Sub par teams beat good teams all the time, we got lucky it didn't happen to us. All that matters is that we are 7-4, which is pretty damn good for what we have. Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Cathal on November 27, 2016, 04:41:01 pm You guys are never going to be happy. Who's happy with going from a game you have in the bag at the start of the 4th quarter with winning it by only a couple of yards at the last second? I wouldn't think the team would be happy with it. I'm glad they won but not happy with the collapse that occurred. Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: disappointedyearly on November 27, 2016, 04:52:41 pm Who's happy with going from a game you have in the bag at the start of the 4th quarter with winning it by only a couple of yards at the last second? I wouldn't think the team would be happy with it. I'm glad they won but not happy with the collapse that occurred. Yes they has a hard time stopping a mobile qb, and they had to deal with injuries. A total collapse would mean a loss, or at least OT. The did stop them at the end of the game, and had a 7 point lead when they did it. They only gave up 10 points in that quarter. The offense couldn't get Ajayi going all game long, and that's why the 4th quarter looked so bad. Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Baba Booey on November 27, 2016, 05:14:44 pm another quiet Sunday after another Fins win.
Trolls and Haters go into hiding after wins Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: EDGECRUSHER on November 27, 2016, 05:27:23 pm Albert and Pouncey better be healthy for next week because Ajayi was getting killed behind the line all day. Good on Tannehill for having such a strong performance without a running game.
Title: Re: 49ers @ Fins Post by: Dolfanalyst on November 27, 2016, 05:30:30 pm Albert and Pouncey better be healthy for next week because Ajayi was getting killed behind the line all day. Good on Tannehill for having such a strong performance without a running game. Also, the Ravens have the best run defense in the league. |
