Title: Question for Florida Dolphins fans Post by: stinkfish on March 09, 2019, 01:08:47 pm Would you remain Dolphins fans if the team relocated and were no longer in Florida? Being in Massachusetts, I don’t think that it would bother me too much. But I’m not a home town fan anyway. Just curious.

I became a Dolphins fan because my previous team (LA Rams) moved. Since then, I had another one of my favorite teams (Seattle Sonics) move, and I also dropped them. So my answer to the question is a resounding "no." The irony here is that the normal motivation for dropping a team because of a move is that the team is no longer local... but none of my favorite teams were local to begin with. For me, the reason why I would stop being a fan is that I can't continue to support the team after the ownership has stabbed my fellow fans in the back. I didn't live in Florida when I became a fan but I have always been disappointed when teams I wasn't a fan of moved.
Title: Re: Question for Florida Dolphins fans Post by: CF DolFan on March 11, 2019, 08:54:38 am Unless it was to another Florida city I'm not sure I would. I don't think of the Indianapolis Colts as being the Baltimore Colts and probably wouldn't think of the Memphis Dolphins as the Miami Dolphins.
