In our case, we lucked out due to tiebreakers and still got our guy, but what if we had to pick 8th or 9th? Where the hell would we be? The Jets are about to lose out on a QB that can be a Hall of Famer and their backup choice can be great or can be a huge bust. Was this one win worth it? I think the ideal scenario would be getting 3 and trading down a spot or 2 to the Bengals so they can take Penell and we take Chase. Other teams know we won't be drafting Justin Fields so that can hurt our price with the other teams in the Top 10, just like with us last year. We didn't trade up for Tua because we didn't feel that the teams ahead of us would take him. Carolina at 8 could be a good trade down candidate but I don't want to miss out on Chase just for an extra 2nd rounder.
