Title: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: EDGECRUSHER on May 12, 2021, 09:27:10 am Leaks show that we are probably opening the year at New England and hosting them to end the year.
When and where you play the teams is almost mopre important than who you play. If we have a Bye week in Week 4, that's horrible, same as if we have 3 straight road games against division winners. So, hopefully the Gods show us favor this season. Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: Tenshot13 on May 12, 2021, 09:59:45 am Games I've seen so far:
Dolphins at New England opening Sunday at 4:25pm Dolphins vs Jags week 6 in England 9:30am Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: EDGECRUSHER on May 12, 2021, 10:40:23 am Games I've seen so far: Dolphins at New England opening Sunday at 4:25pm Dolphins vs Jags week 6 in England 9:30am We have to stop with this England nonsense. Their fans don't care and it's just a strain on the players with all of that traveling. Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: Tenshot13 on May 12, 2021, 10:42:56 am What makes you say their fans don't care? Aren't the games always sold out? Plus, the Dolphins are the number 1 team in England.
Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: Sunstroke on May 12, 2021, 10:49:08 am I know a few folks in the UK, and they all love American football. The NFL coming by once a year is like the circus coming by, it's fun to look at but no one will go if it is once a week. Let some other team become a novelty act, we're an actual NFL franchise now! Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: CF DolFan on May 12, 2021, 11:04:39 am If Dolphins are playing Jax in England that sucks. It’s nice for Dolphin fans to easily travel to see them play and in state games are usually packed with both.

I imagine the attendance is pretty decent for Jax. Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: EDGECRUSHER on May 13, 2021, 09:55:50 am Sunday, Sept. 12 — at New England, 4:25 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 19 — BUFFALO, 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26 — at Las Vegas, 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3 — INDIANAPOLIS, 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10 — at Tampa Bay, 1 p.m.* Sunday, Oct. 17 — vs. Jacksonville (at London, England), 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct 24 — ATLANTA, 1 p.m.* Sunday, Oct. 31, — at Buffalo, 1 p.m.* Sunday, Nov. 7 — HOUSTON, 1 p.m.* Thursday, Nov. 11 — BALTIMORE, 8:20 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 — at N.Y. Jets, 1 p.m.* Sunday, Nov. 28 — CAROLINA, 1 p.m.* Sunday, Dec. 5 — N.Y. GIANTS, 1 p.m.* Sunday, Dec. 12 — Bye Week Saturday, Dec. 18 or Sunday, Dec. 19 — N.Y. JETS, TBD Monday, Dec. 27 — at New Orleans, 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2 — at Tennessee, 1 p.m.* Sunday, Jan. 9 — NEW ENGLAND, 1 p.m.* Wow, FUCK YOU to the NFL. A Week 14 bye week? If we want any chance at the playoffs, we need to go 4-0 from November 21st through December 18th. New Orleans is beatable too if they have no good QB situation. Indy may be kinda crappy too with Carson Wentz at the helm. I hate the England game, especially since it makes it a short week before and after with the travel and the bye week placement is a joke. The rest is passable, no 9 game stretches against division winners or anything like that but we need to stop this England nonsense. The league is clearly not helping us out in any way with it in terms of schedule favorability, didn;t even get a bye after the London game like all the other years. We are in decent shape if we get through the first 7 games at 4-3 but we need to split the season series against the Pats and Bills and sweep the Jets. 3-3 division record is not an option. Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: Tenshot13 on May 13, 2021, 11:08:16 am I see a 12-5 record there at least lessssgoooooo
Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: EDGECRUSHER on May 13, 2021, 11:19:30 am I see a 12-5 record there at least lessssgoooooo I would take that but we got some tough ones there. 2 against Buffalo, 1 at Tennessee and 1 at the Superbowl champs. Also got a ridiculous number of 1 PM starts. We are at Las Vegas and starting at 1 PM, this schedule sucks in terms of things like bye weeks and start times. Short week hosting Baltimore on a Thursday night. The order of games seems pretty fair to me, everyone has some easy patches and rough patches but we are going to be in trouble if we are banged up around Week 8. Almost like Grier knew the schedule in advance since he spent the whole free agency period just acquiring depth. That will certainly be tested this season. Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: Dave Gray on May 13, 2021, 12:24:25 pm I see a 10-7 record. (I judge each game on a 0-1 scale)

I think you are giving them too much credit. Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: Dave Gray on May 13, 2021, 02:01:48 pm I think that the Superdome on Monday Night is going to be a very hard place to play. Also, the Saints are good. QBs matter, but if they still had Brees, I would've given us a 0.
Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: CF DolFan on May 13, 2021, 02:33:23 pm ^^^ Depends on their record and outlook in late December. I don't remember NO fans being very supportive prior to Brees and the success he brought. If they don't have some early success fans might check out for a while.

Not saying it will be easy but I would be surprised if they were a playoff team this season with Jameis. He can throw touchdowns he just takes too many chances when he should just take a sack. If he learned anything behind Brees he may not be that bad. True, being an understudy for Drew Brees and Sean Payton for a year is the best internship imaginable. If he didn't put it together by now, he never will. Still, he had some pretty good talent in Tampa Bay and last season there he was 7-9. He gets replaced by Brady with a similar cast and they win the Superbowl. You have to weigh the financial reasons against strategic decisions. I've been to a few of those games and to have your stadium chanting so noticeably for the away team that it is picked up on the broadcast isn't a good thing. Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: masterfins on May 13, 2021, 07:58:10 pm This is the best schedule for Miami that I have seen in decades, I love it. I see them starting 7-0, and finishing with 14 wins.
Title: Re: Schedule Releasing Today Post by: Spider-Dan on May 19, 2021, 02:23:26 pm I just realized: with the JAX game being in London, MIA has 9 home games, 7 road games, and 1 neutral site (against the worst team in the league). In the months of November and December, MIA will play a total of two outdoor road games. edit: And the sole cross-country road game is in the late slot!
That's a very favorable schedule. It is definitely favorable in some ways, but the late season bye combined with the no bye after London means the team will be strongly affected by injuries if/when they occur. Thursday Night against a tough Ravens team too will be no picnic, those TNF games are usually won by the teams that travel less and have fewer injuries. So, health and depth will be the story of our season. So, health and depth will be the story of our season. I don't mind the late season bye, and I much prefer the late season bye to a bye early in the season; injuries are going to affect the team no matter when they occur. As for the London game it's not the next game that should be concerning, it's actually playing that game that is tough to adjust to because it's a 9:30 am EST game. The team should be back in Miami after the game by 7 pm local time, although it would be Midnight London time. So looking at the following week's game it's no different than, and better than IMO, coming home from a west coast game. The Thursday Night games suck for every team that has to play them, a little less for the home team, but they suck none the less. At least it's a home game, with a home game against Houston the week before. Dolphins requested later bye week despite London game https://dolphinswire.usatoday.com/2021/05/17/report-dolphins-requested-later-bye-week-despite-london-game/ It’s likely, barring travel snafus, that the Dolphins will get back from the London game by about 1:15 a.m. Monday. Miami plays at Las Vegas in Week 3, a 4:05 p.m. ET game. Barring travel snafus there too, the Dolphins should return to south Florida about 1:45 a.m. So Miami’s reasoning, I’m sure, was, ‘Let’s not blow our bye early, especially when the London game is just like coming home from a West Coast game.'” — Peter King, NBC Sports |
