ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Saints signed RT Ryan Ramczyk to a five-year, $96 million contract extension with $60 Million guaranteed.

Almost $20 Million a year for a RT, madness. Ranked the 14th best tackle in 2020.

I know some of us complained about Miami using so many draft picks the past 2 years on O-Line but this is why you do it. The prices for O-Line help are more inflated than the 2008 Housing Bubble. If you got all of your line help on the open market, you are looking at $60-90 Million depending on quality. You just won't have enough left over for other areas of need. Draft them all so you can spend on other positions and just wait for this bubble to burst in 2-3 years like it did with running backs.

He is probably the best in the league though.  Still too much money.

And the Saints are always well over the cap, how the hell did they manage this?

It doesn't make sense because Guards and Centers get over $10 Million a year now too. How can you spend so much on one guy who is almost worthless if the other 4 guys suck? You sign a great WR and he produces no matter what and the other WRs produce too because they are open more now. Sign a LT for $25 Million and everyone else sucks? Well, your QB is still getting killed.
