Title: Report: Miami Dolphins could still consider trading for Deshaun Watson

The boy just forwarded this story.

How's everyone's feelings on this?  Me personally, I think it's a bad move and PR nightmare.  Maybe I'm wrong, but that was a lot women who accused him of improprieties.

The report comes as a major surprise to anyone who thought that the Dolphins organization was completely committed to 23-year-old quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

“We’re told the Dolphins have enough lingering questions about Tua’s ability and future that they would still consider trading for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson if his legal situation is somehow resolved in time for the 2021 season,” wrote Adam H. Beasley of Pro Football Network.

“That, of course, is an enormous if.

“Watson stands accused of sexual misconduct by nearly two dozen massage therapists who are suing him.

“Watson is also under investigation by both the NFL and Houston police due to the allegations. There are so many moving parts here that even a settlement — which alone would be a Herculean task, considering the sheer number of plaintiffs — might not be enough for the league to green-light a trade.

“But that has not stopped the Dolphins from keeping an open mind, according to multiple sources briefed on the organization’s thinking.”

click bait bullshit.  Tua is the QB

I agree with Tenshot.  Whenever I read something in the media that says things like "We are told..." or "unnamed sources have stated that...." my bullshit detector goes off at a pretty high level.  Just like in the "news" media, people in the sports media try to give credence to what they think by citing "unnamed sources".   Typically, that is complete bullshit and nobody said it, or their "insider information" comes from the neighbor of the cousin who once met the assistant equipment manager for the team.

If they are saying that Miami would still trade for Watson IF he is cleared tomorrow, then I say bullshit. However, if they say he is cleared and looks truly innocent by 2023 while Tua has a terrible year? Yeah, that's possible.

Watson reported to camp today, ending his holdout with the Texans. I don't think he has softened his stance on wanting out but he knows he killed his leverage with the legal troubles.

Despite silly reports saying otherwise, no one is trading for Watson this offseason, especially us. He has to be cleared of all charges, avoid a suspension and play well this year again and only then, will he be traded next offseason.

Reports are Houston is listening to trade offers but are still asking for at least three first rounders.

If I'm Green Bay, I offer Rodgers straight up.   A change of scenery would do them both good and each team could get rid of their biggest headache.  Plus there's a chance the Packers could bring back Adams

Rodgers would just retire if GB did that.  No way he goes to that Houston dumpster fire.

With his pending legal issues, he has no trade value. Maybe a 3rd rounder. No one is giving up a serious package for a guy who could be going to jail or suspended for a season. Everything will have to wait until next offseason. Houston had their chance and blew it because they are a garbage franchise run by idiots.

Rodgers would retire first and I think he has a no trade anyway. Packers are also run by idiots and without a Hall of Fame QB covering for them, they got some dark days ahead if Love doesn't pan out.

Rodgers is staying in GB

He was never going to Houston anyway. Watson is very likely staying put this year too, if only because of his legal issues. Who is going to offer up 3 first rounders and more for a guy who could be going to jail?

How glad are we this didn’t happen?

Watson and the browns look like shit.

It was a terrible PR move for one. Cleveland acquiring Watson looks like one of the worst moves in the history of the sport.

Good.

I literally grave-dug this post today, also, after seeing that performance.

I can't imagine being Cleveland and trading picks and a ton of money on a rapist that sucks at football.  ...and being locked into it.

The cherry on top is that mayfield had nearly 300 yards and 4tds for Tampa. Cleveland has sunk itself for decades and they deserve it. Terrible, terrible decision.
