How in the world can you trade for someone who has been released?? They announced they were going to release him to let teams know they had a small window to make an offer. Carolina jumped on it. Good for them, a 6th round pick for 11 games of a player is "a lot" but at the end of the day it's just a 6th rounder and the 2019 DPOY will be highly motivated to get one last nice contract. It will probably work out really nicely for them as long as Darnold doesn't start having Vietnam flashbacks of the AFC East. |
