Title: Big man non-TD Post by: fyo on November 15, 2021, 08:42:55 am There isn't a whole lot to say other than it was totally awesome and completely futile at the same time.
Someone in the Dolphins org has an amazing sense of timing and humor: https://twitter.com/MiamiDolphins/status/1459144823877902336 Title: Re: Big man non-TD Post by: CF DolFan on November 15, 2021, 09:00:21 am They had that thing up Friday morning. LOL. First time one of our offensive line was being mentioned in a positive aspect in a long time ... although coach is was quick to remind us it was still a penalty.

Title: Re: Big man non-TD Post by: Dave Gray on November 15, 2021, 10:15:14 am you could say the door has closed on the Dolphins season There was a discussion on one of these Dolphins facebook groups about the ease of their remaining schedule and what it would take for us to make the playoffs and I just laughed at it. Title: Re: Big man non-TD Post by: MyGodWearsAHoodie on November 15, 2021, 10:20:27 am In addition to winning out they would need multiple teams to collapse.

All we would need is a 1-7 team to go 9-0 and need several tiebreakers. Piece of cake! At this point, just win 6 or 7 games and try to get our draft pick above the Niners. I went into this season with high hopes of the Dolphins making the playoffs and maybe even winning a playoff game. Now, just over half way through the season, I am just hoping that they win more games than the 49ers in order to not look quite as stupid for making that trade. Title: Re: Big man non-TD Post by: fyo on November 15, 2021, 11:04:23 am In addition to winning out they would need multiple teams to collapse. As a fan, you never give up hope until, but when your team is 2+ games behind 7 teams for the 3 wild cards, it's more than a little unlikely that the Dolphins manage to stumble into the playoffs - even if they could win out. I guess I could *imagine* the Dolphins winning the next 4 games (although I think 1 or 2 wins is more likely), but @Saints, @Titans, Patriots looks a lot like 2-3 losses. Football Outsiders' model had the Dolphins with 6 wins (total) before week 10. I'm guessing that goes up at least a game, but the way the team is playing, finishing with more than 7 or 8 wins would be a minor miracle in my book. Personally, I still think 6 wins is the most likely. The Panthers are looking invigorated and I wouldn't be surprised if we lost that. Of the 3 NY games (@Jets, Giants, Jets) odds are we'll find a way to lose at least one of them. That would leave the Dolphins having to find a win among the strong trio to finish the season (see above) to even get to 6 wins. Yeah, I'm not seeing a playoff run... Although extremely unlikely, having two teams collapse and winning the division would be less improbable than needing 5 teams to collapse for the wildcard. Intuitively, I'm not sure having two good teams collapse is more likely than having any 5 of 7 mediocre-at-best teams collapse. Title: Re: Big man non-TD Post by: Dolphster on November 15, 2021, 02:58:54 pm Even though it didn't count, in this terrible season, that Hunt catch, run and having the presence of mine to stretch the ball out over the plane of the goal line was a thing of beautiful hilarity that cannot be taken away from my memory even if it wasn't legal. Coming out of college last year, I talked up Hunt pretty good especially for a guy coming out of a small school. I now wish I had talked about his obvious pass catching skills and ability to make things happen after the catch. LOL
