When he punted on 4th and 1 at midfield, I nearly lost it. You can't have an offense only capable of scoring 13 points and be kicking on 4th and 1 at midfield. He punted on 4th and 1 later, as well, but that was at his own 20 and we had a lead, so I totally allow it. The play-calling is alternating between interesting and super frustrating. I love that we went downfield a few times, especially after the INT. The INT was a punt, so who cares, and the next attempt was a big gain that resulted in our only offensive TD of the day, if I recall. So, I think it's worth it to keep taking those shots. There was also some interesting goal line play calling, a flea-flicker...I love it all. But then, in short yardage, we do these weird RPO delayed handoffs and pitch-backs that lose us yards. I would really like us to embrace the QB sneak on short yardage. |
